In the blink of an eye, Fang Yan's entire body had shrunk to a mere 1.5 centimeters – roughly the size of an ant. This was the limit of reduction that the current Ant-Man suit could achieve. Any further reduction and Fang Yan would risk entering the subatomic space, where the laws of physics could make his return impossible.
"Yohoo!" Fang Yan cheered, his voice amplified in his shrunken state.
The world around him took on an entirely new perspective, one he had never experienced before. Everyday objects now appeared utterly fascinating, each mundane detail transformed into an enchanting spectacle.
"This is what it feels like to be Ant-Man? It's truly incredible!" Fang Yan marveled. Despite having transformed into Iron Man and even the ruler of the universe, he had never encountered anything quite like this.
"Jarvis, can you hear me?" Fang Yan inquired.
"Sir, I can hear you clearly," Jarvis replied through the communication device built into the suit.
"Excellent! Initiate a systems check and activate the heads-up display," Fang Yan commanded. Instantly, multiple virtual screens materialized before him, displaying various data, symbols, and images. Fang Yan had incorporated the Iron Man-style heads-up display into his Ant-Man suit, enhancing its capabilities beyond the traditional Ant-Man costume.
After confirming that all systems were operational, Fang Yan couldn't contain his excitement.
"Fantastic! Now it's time to embrace the Ant-Man lifestyle!"
"Jarvis, initiate a biosignal scan to detect flying creatures nearby," Fang Yan instructed, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Sir, I have identified more than ten flying creatures in your vicinity," Jarvis reported, presenting virtual images of various insects and birds.
Bees, mosquitoes, flies, and birds appeared on the virtual screens, each creature neatly organized in the display. While some of these beings were much larger than Fang Yan himself, they obediently complied with his orders.
"Is there anything more formidable?" Fang Yan questioned, hoping to find a more impressive mode of transportation.
"Sir, I have detected an eagle approximately twenty kilometers away. Would you like to consider it?" Jarvis suggested.
"Eagles are out of the question! They're too conspicuous and fly too fast; the wind alone could throw me off!" Fang Yan dismissed the idea, bearing in mind his intention to maintain a low profile.
"In that case, I'll choose this sparrow!" Fang Yan declared, selecting a sparrow as his mount.
"Chirp..." The sparrow, having received Fang Yan's biological signal, flapped its wings excitedly, extending its head towards him for a friendly rub. Fang Yan reciprocated, establishing a connection with his new avian companion.
This was where Fang Yan's knowledge surpassed Dr. Pym's. While Dr. Pym could communicate solely with ants, Fang Yan, equipped with an abundance of technical information, possessed the ability to command various creatures – whether they flew, ran, or swam.
"This one is a bit large. I'll need something to secure myself if I'm riding it," Fang Yan noted, enlarging himself and creating a saddle for the sparrow on the nearby experimental table. After scaling back down, he affixed the saddle to the sparrow's back and took a seat, adjusting to his new perch.
"Little one, from now on, you shall be known as Sparrow No. 1. How does that name sound to you?" Fang Yan affectionately patted the sparrow's back, christening his airborne partner.
"Chirp..." Sparrow No. 1 responded with a flutter of its wings, seemingly content with the moniker.
With a satisfied smile, Fang Yan secured himself in the saddle, and with a confident command, they were off.
Sparrow No. 1 propelled them into the sky, soaring to an altitude of around 20 meters. Fang Yan marveled at the unique perspective this vantage point offered.
"Observing the world from up here is truly remarkable," Fang Yan mused, gazing down at the cityscape below.
"Let's head back to the apartment," Fang Yan decided, prompting Sparrow No. 1 to change direction and return to their starting point.
During the flight, Sparrow No. 1 navigated through bustling areas and over the heads of countless pedestrians, its precious cargo unnoticed by all.
Before long, they arrived at the rental apartment.
"Let's first ascend to the highest floor," Fang Yan proposed, wanting to pay a visit to Guo Xuerong and her sister's apartment.
With his newfound abilities, Fang Yan was tempted to engage in a bit of playful mischief.
As Sparrow No. 1 neared the apartment balcony, Fang Yan spotted something unexpected – water running in the bathroom adjacent to the balcony.
"Could it be..." Fang Yan's mind quickly pieced together the situation.
His mischievous grin revealed an impish intent.
