"Zazel...."
"Zaaaaaazeeeeeeeeel..."
"WAKE UP YAH BIG GOOF!!"
BANG!!
A book slammed straight into his head, instantly waking the Demon up. He'd reel back a bit as he'd rub at the wound, pissed off at the person responsible. He could see Harvard doing a small whistle, as well as a stunned Solomon, holding his book, alongside a cackling Stolas. Immediately, the devil gave chase to the child, running around the place to catch him and give him a noogie on the head. "THE HECK WAS THAT FOR!?" Zazel yelled in anger.
"To wake you up! Easy!" Harvard would reply.
"YOU COULD'VE DID ANYTHING ELSE, YAH KNOW!"
Harvard would snicker a bit, wincing a bit as he'd see Zazel ball up a fist to try and hit him, having Solomon break up the fight and give Harvard his just desserts by dropping him straight into the shadow. "Sometimes I wonder if we bicker like an old married couple with how much we want to kill each other." He'd comment
Zazel would sigh as he calmed himself, still seeing the Card Magician laughing away, spinning in the void, weightless within the realm. He was able to notice that as he got up and chased after him, his entire body was completely fixed up, not a single sign of damage in sight, aside from the small bruise from being hit with a book. He'd look around to see the Wedding already taking place, all sorts of people entering from the halls, mirrors placed on the mosaic, reflecting the many people around, each reflection showcasing a different version of themselves. Today must've been the wedding. "Sooooo...I'm correct in assuming-"
"Harvard healing you?"
"Yeah..."
"Yeah, He absolutely did. Adel was able to bring your body over once everything went quiet. You were.....REALLY screwed up there. The hell happened?"
Zazel can't help but chuckle a bit. "Ah....Past coming back to haunt me?" He'd joke, though he would be slightly surprised at knowing Adel was not only fine but willing to do the ceremony. Either he must've left a lasting impression, or he truly cared about the demon, despite being terrified of him with his Snake Magic. Regardless, he feels thankful he was able to make a friend despite such harsh severity. "What about you guys? How did you handle your problems?"
Solomon remained quiet, taking a deep breath as he'd look down at his book, flipping the pages to see the photos once more. "...Had a run-in with my parents. It got to them..." Zazel and Stolas both remained quiet, with Harvard shutting up once he escaped the shadow's confines. He recognized his friends were horrified, so he lightens the mood a bit. "Hey, at the very least...I got closure. They...actually said sorry to me. When we find this guy, it's gonna be for them as well." With such words, as well as a simple smile, the children looked at one another and nod to him, proud that he was able to handle such grief well.
"Well, We met our alternative counterparts! That's something!" Stolas stated, a proud look on his face.
"Alternate...Counterparts?" Zazel asked, a bit stunned in hearing such an idea. Stolas would nod like mad as an answer to such a question.
"IT'S SO FREAKING COOL!! There was a Girl Me that was firing a bunch of planets, and there was a King version of Harvard where he had more cards and monsters to work with! Every second of that fight was a live or die, and it was SO WORTH IT!"
"You seemed REALLY happy about nearly dying-"
"BECAUSE I AM!!! THAT WAS A FIGHT WORTH GOING THROUGH!! Harvard has it as a spell now, so if we want, we can train with those counterparts and take some ideas from it!" Stolas' idea would bring a curious expression to the two boys, as Harvard would nod in agreement, showing the card he took from such a Nobleman: One depicting the mirrors themselves. Once they caught up, however, someone would be approaching the four, carrying what looked to be a small, white dress.
"Excuse me. Apologies for bothering you boys, but we seem to be lacking a Flower Girl. The one that pitched the job offer sadly had to be escorted out due to some complications. Sharp blindness, they said. By any chance, do you happen to know anyone willing to take up such a role?" The man asked.
The boys looked towards one another, and while Solomon and Zazel shrugged at a perfect candidate, Harvard and Stolas would look at each other in wicked glee as they leered their eyes towards the Demon, the latter recognizing the gaze. "No. Absolutely not." He'd protest.
"Oh C'moooooooooon-"
"NO! Being dressed as a Victorian Child's one thing! Being dressed in a dirty cowboy outfit with big ol' boots is another! Being dressed as a Buccaneer is a third! PUTTING ON A DRESS IS CROSSING A LINE! Give it to someone else, but NOT ME!"
"But Time is cut short here! We need someone to wear it!"
"GIVE IT TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS IT THEN! I ain't dressing in a skirt for a job! Are you crazy!?" As Harvard and Zazel argued, the latter clearly recognizing the former's tricky antics, someone would be visible in the doorway, quickly swooping in and swiping the dress, wearing it in pride. The boys would be somewhat stunned at seeing someone take it with gusto, before Zazel recognized him. "Mr. Kokonen??"
Edward was quick on nodding at his question. "T-T-The very same! I ain't letting an opportunity to snag some more cash get out my hands! N-n-no siree! All for the sake of G-g-gold! All for wiping my D-d-d-debt clean, it is! You boys just take your seats and enjoy the wedding! It's s-s-starting soon!" He'd stutter, immediately running off and preparing for such an occasion. Despite being confused, Zazel was at least relieved that he wouldn't have to wear such a dress, having the boys try to take their seats, before the man stopped them and pointed at a sign.
Said sign was of a Dress code: A Suit and tie. "....I just want to keep my jacket maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan...." Zazel complained, before the boys would find a nearby closet for them to switch into said suits provided by the man.
