Layers of dreamscapes shattered.
Under the impact of the Silver Jade Disc, the Night Serpent convulsed as if struck by lightning. Its massive body tensed as though electrified, and layers of pure moonlight spread over its midnight-black scales.
"The... Goddess of the White Night," the Night Serpent hissed in a low growl, struggling desperately.
As it writhed, its vast body, reminiscent of a mountain range, began to shrink under the enveloping moonlight until it was reduced to a small black snake trapped within the Jade Disc.
The Silver Jade Disc and the Dark Jade Disc, both among the most potent artifacts of the Grand Circle Multiverse, were formidable. Even when not at her peak, the Goddess of the Night could use the Dark Jade Disc to leave a mark on the Nine-Faced Dragon God. The Silver Jade Disc was no less formidable.
In the hands of the Goddess of the White Night, the Silver Jade Disc made escape impossible for the Night Serpent.
Bathed in the radiant moonlight, the Silver Jade Disc spun, eventually settling into the flawless, white palm of the goddess.
The four dragons, the Lord of Fire Elements, and numerous lesser and moderate gods all turned their gaze towards the Goddess of the White Night.
Under the veil of moonlight, she appeared as if she were part of the light itself, her form wrapped in delicate, translucent veils, her face blurred and ethereal, yet captivating to behold.
Her gaze swept over each of the dragons, then nodded gently towards the gods. Merging with the moonlight, she vanished from sight.
This scene was reflected in the eyes of the silver dragon, Garon, who observed it intently.
"Goddess of the White Night, Sulia... Hasn't she been in a weakened state, not even reaching strong divine power, since the battle of light and dark?"
"To seal the Night Serpent so effortlessly... Even though the Night Serpent wasn't at full strength and had relied on the artifact... judging by her performance, she has at least recovered to strong divine power!"
"How did she regain her strength? Could she have been pretending all this time? No... If that were the case, she would have acted as soon as the War of Dawn began, not waited until now."
Garon mused silently.
The Goddess of the White Night had just regained a portion of her power and immediately took action, disregarding the wear on the Silver Jade Disc. Using it, she swiftly sealed the Night Serpent, successfully dealing with a class-strong divine power Primordial.
What had occurred in the Heart of Spells divine realm had yet to be disclosed, so Garon remained unaware of the specifics.
Meanwhile, Garon's mind reflected on the performances of the Silver Jade Disc and the Dark Jade Disc, a peculiar expression crossing his draconic features.
"These two artifacts, belonging to the primordial goddesses, are evidently incredibly powerful."
"The Dark Jade Disc allowed the Goddess of the Night to wound the Nine-Faced Dragon God. The Goddess of the White Night used the Silver Jade Disc to seal the Night Serpent with a single blow."
"But their attack methods seem exceedingly simple... straightforward and brutal, just smashing into their targets. I wonder if they have other capabilities."
Given their robust physiques, true dragons typically did not rely on external items. Even the Dragon Gods rarely used artifacts because few could surpass their own bodies in strength.
The primordial Jade Discs were different, incomparable to ordinary artifacts. Garon couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy.
Even if he wasn't inclined to use such artifacts, possessing them would make for an unparalleled collection.
"The Goddess of the White Night is aligned with the Pantheon, allies in the fight against the Abominations. Unless something happens to her, acquiring the Silver Jade Disc would require theft, and that's not my style."
In the Eternal Heroic Hall, the silver dragon's eyes narrowed as he recalled the Goddess of the Night, draped in her night-like gown, who had dared to ride on his head.
"You'd better be careful... Don't let me catch you off guard, or you'll pay dearly."
After her defeat in the Howling Abyss, the Goddess of the Night had not reappeared on the War of Dawn's battlefield. She likely realized that the Primordial Abominations had no chance of winning the war, even with her direct intervention.
Now, the Goddess of the Night topped Garon's grudge list.
After a cold snort, Garon refocused his attention on the prime material plane.
In various war-torn prime material worlds, the fires of conflict between gods and Primordials had significantly diminished. Many worlds, previously engulfed in darkness, saw the first rays of dawn, heralding the arrival of daybreak.
After sealing the Night Serpent, the Goddess of the White Night did not rest. She immediately moved on to other prime material worlds.
In another prime material world, the fleshly 'carpet' covering the sky was tattered under the combined assault of the Wind Elemental Queen, the four dragons, and numerous lesser and moderate gods.
Countless rotting chunks of flesh fell from the sky.
On the ground, the once vibrant and sinister bloom of the Mother of Monsters had withered significantly. Its petals were now marked with frost, flame, radiation, and holy light, and its size had shrunk by more than half.
At that moment, the Mother of Monsters' petals closed, forming an impenetrable bud.
As she endured the onslaught from the gods and dragons, she prepared to flee the prime material plane.
Initially, when only the four dragons were fighting, their combined efforts were enough to stalemate but not decisively defeat the Mother of Monsters. But with the arrival of the Wind Elemental Queen and more gods, the Mother of Monsters' strength was swiftly overwhelmed.
Faced with the righteous onslaught of the gods, she was furious but had no choice but to escape.
If she managed to leave the prime material plane, the dragons, being demi-gods, could not pursue her, and gods below strong divine power would not dare to follow. Even a strong divine power alone would struggle to kill or seal the Mother of Monsters, despite her injuries.
Buzz!
A full moon suddenly rose, hanging high in the sky.
At its center, a stunning goddess figure could be seen, surrounded by a veil of moonlight, ethereal and unmatched in beauty.
A smaller, silver 'full moon' orbited around this goddess.
"The Goddess of the White Night... the Silver Jade Disc," the Mother of Monsters sensed her arrival. Her bud-like body trembled, hastening her efforts to shrink and escape.
However, she had already lost much of her power under the gods' siege.
At full strength, the Mother of Monsters would not fear the current Goddess of the White Night. Even with the Silver Jade Disc, she could at least flee.
But there were no 'ifs' in this reality.
"Lagreasha, the moonlight will purify your corruption and obsession with decayed flesh."
The Goddess of the White Night spoke softly, her voice gentle and sweet.
She extended her slender, jade-like fingers, pointing at the Mother of Monsters.
In an instant, the orbiting 'full moon' vanished.
The Silver Jade Disc streaked towards the Mother of Monsters' bud, enveloped in dreamlike moonlight, and forcefully collided.
Thud!
Time seemed to halt for a moment as the Mother of Monsters' movements ceased abruptly.
The dense, tangible moonlight engulfed her, wrapping around her form. Despite her struggles, it compressed and gathered her into the Silver Jade Disc. Now, alongside the imprint of the Night Serpent, there was a new, miniature image of the Mother of Monsters.
"Impressive, truly impressive."
"With the power of this artifact, even strong divine beings would be severely wounded if hit."
"If the Goddess of the Night and the Goddess of the White Night were at their peak and wielded such powerful artifacts, they would be among the most formidable top-tier deities."
Observing this scene, the silver dragon's eyes reflected the soft glow of the Silver Jade Disc, and he couldn't help but marvel.
The primordial Jade Discs exhibited formidable prowess.
Their straightforward method of attacking by smashing targets was simple yet brutally effective.
"I wonder what would happen if the Dark Jade Disc and the Silver Jade Disc clashed."
Garon pondered silently.
After encountering the Dark Jade Disc, he had delved into his knowledge and discovered its nature as a primordial artifact, as well as its counterpart, the Silver Jade Disc.
He was curious about the outcome if these two primordial artifacts were to collide, which would prove stronger.
Simultaneously, Garon noticed a crack appearing on the Silver Jade Disc after sealing the Night Serpent. Another crack formed after sealing the Mother of Monsters.
"Like the Dark Jade Disc, it shows signs of damage, indicating it's not infinitely usable."
"But the Goddess of the White Night doesn't seem concerned about the artifact's wear."
After sealing the Mother of Monsters, the Goddess of the White Night did not linger in that prime material world. She disappeared into the moonlight and reappeared in another prime material world, continuing to use the Silver Jade Disc to strike class-strong divine power Primordials already besieged by the gods with lightning speed.
"... It is now the final phase of the War of Dawn."
"I should stretch my muscles and settle some old scores."
The silver dragon rose, his platinum eyes reflecting the visage of a Primordial Abomination, cold and sharp.
Dark clouds roiled, and thunder rumbled.
Below, the sea churned, with howling winds raising towering waves, and massive tsunamis crashing down, their roars mingling with the thunderous sky.
A Primordial Abomination and a Dragon God clashed amidst the turbulent sea and stormy sky.
One was a magnificent Metallic Dragon God, his body radiating intertwined gold and silver glow, his robust frame exuding an aura of regal authority and divine power. This was Bahamut, the Metallic Dragon God, whose presence alone caused the very heavens and seas to tremble. His majestic visage and formidable dragon's might merged to create an overwhelming sense of pressure, like a mountain towering over the world.
Around him, several lesser and moderate divine powers stood, hesitating as they watched the battle unfold, unsure of how to intervene.
Facing Bahamut was another being that appeared identical in every way — a 'Metallic Dragon God' that mirrored Bahamut's appearance, stature, aura, and even the divine energy radiating from him. It was impossible to distinguish between the two at a glance.
In the midst of the stormy chaos, the two Bahamuts clashed, their colossal forms exchanging powerful blows that sent shockwaves through the air and sea. Their shimmering metallic scales reflected the lightning, creating blinding flashes that lit up the darkened sky.
The gods watching the battle were confused and hesitant. They could not discern which of the two identical beings was the real Bahamut and which was the impostor, making them reluctant to join the fray and risk attacking their ally by mistake.
Garon, observing the battle from the Eternal Heroic Hall, narrowed his eyes in contemplation. The sight of two identical Metallic Dragon Gods battling each other was an extraordinary spectacle, even for him.
"The Primordial Mimic... it must be using its unique ability to perfectly replicate the form and power of its opponent," Garon thought, his mind racing as he analyzed the situation.
The Primordial Mimic was known for its terrifying ability to duplicate the form, abilities, and even the divine powers of its enemies, making it a formidable adversary capable of turning an opponent's strengths against them.
Bahamut, the true Metallic Dragon God, roared as he unleashed a burst of golden-silver energy, attempting to overwhelm the impostor with his sheer divine might. However, the replicated Bahamut responded in kind, matching the true Bahamut's attack with an identical blast of energy. The resulting collision of forces created a massive explosion that rocked the sea and sky, sending shockwaves in all directions.
"Even Bahamut is having difficulty overcoming his own duplicate," Garon mused. "The Primordial Mimic's replication is flawless, making it a challenging foe even for a god of Bahamut's stature."
The lesser and moderate gods, still wary of intervening, could only watch as the two titanic beings clashed, their titanic battle creating chaotic waves and storms that raged across the battlefield.
"Even in this final phase of the War of Dawn, the Primordial Abominations are proving to be formidable adversaries," Garon thought. "But we must push through. The dawn is near, and we cannot falter now."
As Garon continued to observe the battle, he noticed subtle differences in the fighting styles and techniques of the two Bahamuts. The real Bahamut fought with a more refined and precise approach, displaying the experience and wisdom of a true dragon god. In contrast, the Primordial Mimic, though powerful, lacked the same finesse and often resorted to more straightforward and brute-force tactics.
"It's only a matter of time before Bahamut can exploit these differences and gain the upper hand," Garon realized. "But we must remain vigilant. The Primordial Mimic is not to be underestimated."
With the War of Dawn reaching its climax, Garon knew that every battle counted, and the gods could not afford to lose any ground. He focused his attention on the battlefield, ready to lend his support where needed and ensure that the gods emerged victorious against the Primordial Abominations.
As the two Bahamuts continued their fierce battle, their roars and the clash of their divine energies echoed across the turbulent sea and stormy sky, a testament to the ongoing struggle between the gods and the Primordials in this epic conflict.
