Even though the Clear Starry Night Pearl was a big sensation, the start of the auction was quite slow. The main reason for that was the initial high price of this item and a decent amount of people still being a bit dazed with the pearl's effects.
The "Clear" Starry Night Pearl was a bit different from the regular Starry Night Pearls. The main difference between these two were the concentration of mana in them. The Starry Night Pearl only had a faint trace of mana which could be easily overlooked. It was valued only for its beautiful looks.
But that was not the case of the Clear Starry Night Pearl. This pearl had a massive amount of mana inside it and it was basically a prototype magic item. A good alchemist would be able to work with this pearl to create a special magic item that could effect someone's mind. But normally that did not happen often as during the alchemical process the beauty of the pearl would be destroyed, which was undesirable.
