Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: The Four Major Techniques x Practice.

Three days pass in the blink of an eye.

During these three days, apart from participating in the daily matches arranged in the arena, Irumi has not left his room at all. Moreover, during these three days, Irumi has not spent any time on sleep, focusing all his time on cultivation and meditation.

Furthermore, Irumi did not follow Silva's advice and has already registered on the 200th floor.

"Finally, it's completely opened."

Irumi stands in his room, his body covered in a semi-transparent aura, feeling a warm energy coursing through his entire body as if he were wearing a feather-light-down jacket. He feels that even if he were standing naked outside on a freezing winter night, enduring the piercing cold wind, he wouldn't feel a trace of coldness.

"Next, I will begin practising the four major techniques."

"First is Ten."

Irumi controls the aura covering his entire body, keeping it contained within himself so it doesn't dissipate on its own. Ten is a technique that allows one to preserve the life energy within their body. By using Ten, the body becomes stronger, and it has anti-ageing effects.

Additionally, Ten stabilizes the aura flowing throughout the body, and its intensity during combat serves as a defence against Nen attacks. Irumi closed his eyes and confirmed that he had retained the aura within his body and covered it on the surface. Then he started to move.

*Swish!*

He swiftly threw a punch, and the aura on the surface of his body faintly flowed, with a hint of it dissipating into the air, vanishing without a trace.

"This means my Ten is still in an extremely unstable state."

With this realization, Irumi sat down again to meditate. After half an hour, he rose and engaged in vigorous exercise, gradually extending the duration each time. The duration of his Ten practice went from the initial five minutes to 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, gradually increasing.

Repeating this process, six hours later...

"Finally, it's complete."

Irumi, drenched in sweat, looked at his hands. His palms and arms are covered in sweat, but he still doesn't feel any fatigue. Ten cultivation is the simplest among the four techniques. The next one to practice is Zetsu.

Zetsu is about tightening and isolating the aura and presence throughout the body, making one's existence barely perceptible. In the state of Zetsu, the defence against Nen attacks approaches zero. Entering the state of Zetsu while fatigued helps in recovering physical and mental strength.

"Perfect. After three days and nights, I've probably opened all my aura nodes. The process was extremely tiring though."

Irumi has been training continuously for three days, and his body and mind are conveying their dissatisfaction. He is exhausted and needs rest. And Zetsu happens to help in restoring physical and mental strength.

After the strenuous cultivation of Ten, while in a fatigued state, he practised Zetsu, simultaneously training and recuperating his energy and spirit.

This is the meaning of systematic training according to the normal procedure, enabling people to make full use of everything during cultivation and quickly achieve their training goals.

"First, I need to eliminate the aura from my body and close all the body's pores."

Irumi sits on the bed, closing his eyes, and closes all the nodes on his body, eliminating the aura covering his surface, and weakening his presence.

This cultivation takes up another night's time.

Irumi finishes his Zetsu practice at 6:10 a.m., according to the normal procedure. Next, he will begin practising Ren. However, today there is still one matter to attend to. That's why he ended his training early, freshened up, and rested in bed for three hours.

Time: 10:20.

*Shua!*

Irumi, who was sleeping, suddenly opened his eyes, squinting as he looked towards the door of the room.

*Du, du, du...*

A knocking came from outside the door, followed by a loud man shouting.

"Hey, kid!"

"How long are you going to sleep!?"

"The sun is already shining. Hurry up and get up and come with me to Cothor Group!"

The person knocking on the door is none other than Drake Drummond, who had made an appointment with Irumi three days ago to take him to meet the boss of Cothor Group. He had been waiting for him in the lobby of Heaven's Arena for a full hour.

Unable to bear it any longer, Drake found his room and personally woke him up.

"You little brat, if you don't speak, I'll kick your door open!"

Drake's tone was impatient, and the knocking sound changed from "du, du, du" to "bang, bang, bang, bang," as if he was about to smash down the door.

*Click.*

Just as Drake lifted his right leg, preparing to kick open the door, it opened. Irumi, wearing a red and white striped hoodie, white casual pants, and red and white canvas shoes, lowered his gaze and looked up at Drake.

"Ah, you really are a little brat, sleeping until ten o'clock."

Drake teased him and took a step back to make way for the door. Irumi slowly walked out of the room, and the two of them walked "side by side" towards the elevator. As they walked out of the door of Heaven's Arena, an extended black car was already parked at the entrance, with two bodyguard-like individuals standing in front of the car door.

Seeing Drake and Irumi appear at the door, they immediately opened the car door and respectfully invited the two inside. After the two got into the car, it immediately started and drove towards the city centre.

"It's sweltering weather."

After getting in the car, Drake took out two cans of iced cola from the fridge and casually tossed one to Irumi. Irumi glanced at the sky outside the window. It was indeed difficult weather to endure. Even though it was only half past ten in the morning, the temperature was already rising.

"Hoho, it seems Young Master Irumi is quite interested in Cothor Group."

Tsubone and Gotoh were driving an inconspicuous black car and followed the extended black car with Irumi inside.

"Young Master Irumi seems to have not listened to the instructions of the family head and went to register on the 200th floor on his own."

"Should we call the Family residence?"

Gotoh held the steering wheel, his expression cold as he looked at the car in front and asked Tsubone.

"On this matter, let Young Master Irumi finish what he needs to do now, and then we'll inform Lord Silva."

"How to handle it is not something we as subordinates have the qualifications to decide."

After hearing that, Gotoh didn't speak any further. He focused on driving and followed the car in front.

Forty minutes later...

The car Irumi was riding in stopped in front of an office building. Opening the door, the first thing he saw was a plaque with the logo and name of Cothor Group engraved on it. Irumi looked up, and the height of this office building was at least fifty floors, with a height of at least two hundred meters.

"Cothor Group Headquarters, a total of fifty floors, with a building height of 250 meters."

"It's the tallest building in this city apart from the Heaven's Arena."

Drake introduced with a smile on his face, seeming quite proud.

"Second is second. There's no reason to flatter yourself."

Irumi walked expressionlessly, taking steps towards the entrance of the office building's ground-floor lobby.
