Third person POV
And so, at night, Rachel was packing up her backpack for the upcoming mission tomorrow mission while feeling a bit anxious about it and the possibilities of messing it up. She was in her dorm room before dinner time. She can cook simple dishes herself, having acquired that life skill from her late maternal aunt. At the same time, Kichi was preparing, then looked at a framed photo of his family back in the Philippines.
"I'll be safe in that mission," Kichi thought, before focusing back in his preparation for hard times tomorrow.
And then, the next morning came, and the entirety of Class 1-A are now riding a shinkansen train to Osaka City with Ayato, who was under the supervision of Monster back in AITA's main headquarters. Most of the students are excited about going around Osaka City once their monthly mission was over. Cristy was thinking about buying souvenirs and trying local foods there. David thought a similar thing as her. Catalina was serious, wanting to do more and better in this mission while Kichi remained humble and alert.
And now, by 8:25 a.m., all of them arrived at Osaka City's main train station, and they all grabbed their belongings and got off with Ayato, who brought a light, brown backpack full of extra clothes, equipment, and supplies. And then, the group went to a shady neighborhood that was largely ignored by the city's residents on foot and checked in a cheap, unpopular hotel, which offered small, traditional rooms with decent amenities in rock-bottom prices, before unloading their belongings and resting up to recharge and eat a light breakfast. Their meal consisted of instant noodles, hot tea and coffee, and some bread.
Later at 9:29 a.m., after that one hour of recharging and breakfast, Class 1-A gathered at the hotel's small and available event hall so Ayato would explain about the mission of this month. The plan was to split up the class group into 5 groups, with 3 pairs each. These were to surround the base of the crime syndicate, which was located in a wide, open area east of the city center. Furthermore, it also had CCTV cameras monitoring the entire complex, so they have to be very careful, and there is an area with trees where they can spy and scour it. Kichi and Rachel was with Jojo and another classmate in Group 4, known as Venom. Catalina and Cristy were in the same group as David and Haru, and their group is called Metal.
And so, everyone in the group agreed and went to their place of extraction with Ayato monitoring from behind. Arriving there, the 5 groups split up in different directions, with Kichi's group going for the back door of the main building. But as she and her group were approaching it, Rachel had flashbacks of her tragedies and trauma and freaked out by screaming. This activated her ability, and Kichi and the others were shocked. Then, these blades fired in all directions, prompting them to dodge fast and constantly. This lasted for over 31 minutes as Rachel's trauma fueled the attack.
"Whoa!" one of the teammates responded while dodging.
"Come on!" Kichi responded in despair while dodging.
Before one of the CCTV would spot them, Kichi and the others took Rachel out of its range and hid. By then, all of the swords had dissipated into thin air. As Kichi was trying to calm Rachel's anxieties, Jojo said to Ayato through his mono headset, "Code Purple, Rachel's freaking out!" Ayato was shocked but knew that would happen and just said back, "It's okay. Call off the mission for now. Let's regroup and retreat for a while."
"Got it."
Right now, Kichi was panting hard due to having need to dodge constantly with his ability.
Another classmate then patted his back to calm his nerves down.
Jojo then said to him and others, "Guys, let's retreat for now. Blood and Swift will monitor for all of us."
Venom then accepted it and retreated for now, going back to their hotel place to rest up and recharge.
The other groups were informed of this by Ayato, and Metal was disappointed of needing to retreat for now.
