Nerae stopped at the entrance to the burial grounds, dropping to the ground to respectfully walk in, instead of flying over the neatly kept graves. Sarell was right beside him, the other Angel seemed a bit absentminded but Nerae was too distracted to notice, walking past the arch that lead into the grounds.
The arch was made of marble, weathered down with time, flowers and vines growing entwined around it. The burial grounds were eerily empty and it had nothing to do with the bustle of the kingdom, even during a coronation, Angels would still honor their loved ones. It was deserted because Angels had learned that the burial grounds were empty, and they had all gone enmasse to the White Desert to honor the last vestiges of their dead.
Nerae made his way through the carefully tended graves to a simply adorned grave in a corner, it had a small headstone, wilting flowers blown gently by the wind lay on the grave.
