"Hear me out!" Tina shrieked before Uriel had the chance to lunge at her and he took a pause to study her. She looked better than she ever did, which said a lot, but her attire was messy and not even Aphrodite's blessing was enough to make it look charming. If anything, she looked pitiful, not that it mattered to Uriel who had long lost connection to that sort of emotion.
"Fine." Uriel said calmly, despite the fact that he was being restrained by both Nika and Luna.
"I just wanted to be the governor and never intended for any of this to happen, you have to believe me." Tina sobbed and wiped a tear off her eyes.
"So it was you the one tipping the gods. I've been tailing our entire company, I even had to go on a bender with Dana!" Nika hissed as though she made a huge sacrifice.
"She's telling the truth, she actually meant well." Aphrodite said through Tina's mouth.
