After the conversation with Lila, we both figured that it was best to get some sleep before doing anything else. The muffled sounds of thunder and crashing lightning outside lulled me to sleep pretty easily, a comfort that followed me from my past life.
Speaking of my past life, my slumber was undisturbed throughout the night, no dreams, nightmares, or anything to speak of. I found that ever since my reincarnation, my slumber has always been... empty.
Before I would dream at least once a month, if not once a week. I don't know if there's some sort meaning behind this. Could have something to do with the reincarnation process itself, or maybe it's something to do with me, or maybe it's nothing and I'm just overthinking things as I usually tend to do.
I don't know.
Probably just run-of-the-mill paranoia.
But after another night of quiet sleep, I wake to the sight of the morning light peering through the door of the ship. Turning my head away, I close my eyes again, trying to drift back into the darkness.
"Hey..." I hear Lila's voice call out right beside my ear, which usually would've been nice if it wasn't completely unsettling.
My eyes snap open and I turn my body back towards her, seeing that she was kneeling down beside my bed.
"Damn, Lila..." I muttered with an annoyed tone as I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "Do you know what time it is?"
"Actually I don't, there's not really anything here I can use as a measurement of time." She replied.
"There's a clock on the ship's computer." I told her, groaning loudly as I stretched out my arms and legs, feeling a few satisfying cracks from my body.
"I don't know how to work any of that stuff." She says, a red tinge lighting her cheeks.
"Oh... Right..."
I forget that controls on a damn space ship aren't exactly common knowledge for most people. It's hard a thing to remember when that was literally one of the first things I was ever taught on Planet Vegeta.
Well... that and how to dodge, but we don't talk about that...
"Remind me to set a timer next time." I said before standing up and making my way towards the cockpit, turning on the main terminal to check the time.
"Wow..." I hear Lila mutter behind me.
I turn and see her looking at all the flashy lights and buttons with a little bit of awe.
I guess she's never been in one of these before, that or none of the species in her time managed to master space travel.
"First time being in an alien spaceship?" I asked sarcastically.
She gives me a blank stare and I let out a small chuckle.
"This is amazing. You mortals came a long way since I've been... gone..." She says as her eyes turn downward.
I cast her a sympathetic look, reaching out and placing a hand on her shoulder.
"If you want, I could teach you how to fly it." I offered, hoping to distract her with the prospect of flying a spaceship.
Hell, if I was sad, flying a spaceship for the first time would definitely make me feel a little better.
That's just me though.
She glances up at me with a smile and nods her head, "Yeah, that sounds great..."
"You wanna do it now, or..." I trailed off, motioning towards the ship's controls.
"No, we can do it some other day. Right now is time for me to keep up my end of our little deal." She says as she stretches out.
"Alright then." I shrugged.
Honestly, I was going to give her a couple days to decompress. She was just crying her eyes out yesterday after all. But if she wants to train, then I'm all for it. It's been a while since I've fought someone stronger than me.
"But before that, we should have breakfast." She says, walking out of the cockpit and looking around at the containers on my ship.
"Breakfast?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, breakfast. What, you want to train on an empty stomach?" She asks as she searches through multiple different containers. "Where's the food?"
"I didn't pack any." I told her.
"What?" She asked, turning to look at me with a confused expression. "You didn't pack any food?"
"Nope." I replied, shaking my head.
"Why?! How do you expect to travel around space without packing any food?!" She asked, looking at me like I was an idiot.
I take the pouch of Senzu Beans out from my ring and toss it over to her.
"The beans?" She asked, looking at me with an even more annoyed expression.
"Eat one." I told her.
She raises an eyebrow before narrowing her eyes at me suspiciously.
"Just do it. You saw me eat one yesterday, didn't you?" I asked.
What did she think I was going to do, poison her?
She looked back down at the pouch in her hands, letting out a sigh before grabbing a bean and plopping it into her mouth. I hear the Senzu Bean crack as she bit down in it. After swallowing, her eyebrows shoot up and she looked down to her stomach.
"What the... I'm not hungry anymore..." She mutters with shock written all over her face. "What are these beans?!"
"They're called Senzu Beans." I replied, stepping in front of her and grabbing a bean for myself. "Found them growing on some random planet some odd years. Fills your stomach, replenishes your stamina, and they heal you from...pretty much anything that isn't a disease..."
That reminds me, I really need to wish for a stronger strain of Senzu Beans that actually can heal everything...
Her eyes widen and she looks at the pouch with an almost reverent gaze.
"How in the Seventh does that even..." She murmurs softly, unable to fully comprehend how one bean could do so much.
She took a few moments to gather herself before shaking her head and saying, "E-Even so, you should still have a better diet than some miracle bean!"
"Why? I get everything I ever need from one bean. Saves so much time too." I told her, not seeing the issue.
Seriously, do you know how much food it takes for me to get full? Literally more than the ship can hold. If I actually had any use for money, the food bill alone would set me back years.
It's honestly ridiculous how Bulma didn't go bankrupt feeding an entire family's worth of Saiyans, but I suppose she isn't the richest woman on the planet for nothing.
Vegeta really doesn't know just how lucky he's got it...
"Are you seriously telling me that you get everything your body needs from one tiny, green bean?" She asked with an incredulous look on her face.
Honestly, I had no idea. I just assumed that Senzu Beans just gave the body all the nutrients it needed to survive. I mean, Yajirobe didn't seem to complain and I haven't felt any adverse effects, but I wasn't a hundred percent secure.
But it's not like I'm gonna just admit that.
What do I look like? Reasonable?
I cross my arms and look at her with a blank expression, which causes her to do the same.
We stay like that for a while, just staring into each other's eyes, refusing to back down. Eventually, I grow tired of the nonsense and let out a groan.
"Fine! After training I'll go to a planet and grab us some seeds we can plant." I told her, rolling my eyes. "Or just use the Dragon Balls to... I don't know, make us a machine that gives us whatever food we want or whatever..."
"Good." She nodded happily before walking out of the ship with a spring in her step.
I shake my head and follow her out, wondering why I even brought her back in the first place. We're not even dating and she's already nagging at me...
I should've just brought back the South Supreme Kai...
"Did you say something?" She suddenly turned and asked.
"No." I told her, shaking my head.
She looks at me suspiciously before heading on her merry way.
The fuck?! What is she, a mind reader?
Yup, definitely should've brought back the South Kai...

The walk to the clearing was silent, but it wasn't an awkward kind of silent, so... at least that was something. When we arrived, we decided that a practical application of training was the best way forward, as if there was any other way.
"Okay, I want you to come at me with everything you got!" She yelled from across the clearing.
"You sure?!" I yelled back.
"Positive! How can I train you if I don't know how strong you are?! Don't worry, I can take it!" She responded.
For a brief second, I was thinking of holding back since I had undergone a large boost in power from Guru, but she was still stronger even with that boost.
Which is kind of ridiculous, but she is like... a few million years older than me. At least that means I can go all out on her without any consequences.
"Okay then..." I muttered to myself as I hunched down low and smirked. "You said not to hold back..."

[General POV]
As she waited for Zyleth to come at her, Lila got into her fighting stance, a calm, almost elegant pose.
She got a pretty good read on him and his power before he transformed back on Namek, so she was fairly confident that she could take whatever he threw at her.
As long as he didn't transform that is.
Waiting for his move, her eyes narrowed as he hunched over, ready to counter whatever he did, but what happened next stunned not just her, but Zyleth as well.
Almost as if he had teleported away, Zyleth disappeared from view. Lila was thinking that he actually did teleport away, but that thought quickly fades when she heard a loud boom sounding off from behind her.
Turning on her heel, she saw that the large mountain behind her had a giant, perfectly circular hole going straight through it. It didn't take long for her to realize who the offender was, as Zyleth was standing directly in front her, his fist outstretched towards said mountain.
"Oops..." Zyleth muttered, clearly not meaning to do that.
