Chapter 13 - Chapter 12 - Team Black

[Zyleth's POV]

After finishing my breakfast, I got up from the table and grabbed my armor that was sitting on the floor beside my feet. Putting it on, I stepped towards the door, only to pause due to annoying comment by father.

"Good luck, you're going to need it." He said, watching me with a smirk that I wanted so desperately to slap off his face.

He's had that smirk on his face ever since I told him that I was the one assigned to supervise and train the Prince.

Apparently, even as a damned child, Prince Vegeta had a reputation for being an absolute pain in the ass. So when he heard I was going to train him, he laughed for a solid five minutes.

He laughed even harder when I had told him the name that the King had assigned to us.

The almighty King Dickhead saw that "Team Black" was the name I had given to Saiyan Command on my way back, and instead of asking me if that's what I wanted to name it, he instead sent out a fucking royal decree saying that it was now the official name assigned to my new team.

And while my mother and the members of Team Bardock didn't really seem to give me that much shit about the name, they did express their sympathies for me being the trainer of Vegeta.

How many people did that prideful little shit annoy for him to have this much of a shit reputation?!

He's two goddamn years old!

"Enough, Bardock, he has enough on his plate as it is without you adding to it." Said Gine, giving Bardock a pointed stare before giving me a hug, "Have a good day training your new team, Sweetie."

"Thanks, mom." I replied with a nod, returning her embrace.

I gave my father a parting glare before heading off to the palace.

Hopefully this won't end up as bad as I'm expecting, but I doubt it...

---

The walk to the castle was as uninteresting as one would expect, though there were a few Saiyans who caught sight of me and started whispering amongst themselves.

Didn't really care all that much, being the source of gossip doesn't really bother me, but I did hear some of them mutter something about Nappa.

Upon arriving in the Royal Courtyard, I see Paragus and Broly already there waiting for me.

"You're early." I called out to them.

"I believe in punctuality." Paragus said with no nonsense tone. "I hope that you'll find Broly ready for anything you throw at him."

I look at his son, who just stares up at me with a curious expression.

"I'm sure that he will live up to my expectations." I replied.

Ain't that the understatement of the century...

"There's also another matter that I wish to address." Paragus said, causing me to raise an eyebrow as I try and think of what he could possibly want to talk about.

"And what's that?" I asked.

To my surprise, the Colonel kneeled down and bowed his head to me. Even kneeling this man was taller than me, so it made for a pretty comical sight.

"Thank you for saving my son. If there's anything at all I can do to repay you, please tell me." He said, actually sounding as if he was sincere.

Damn...

Besides Goku and Broly, I didn't think Saiyans were able to show humility. Then again, Paragus did actually care for son at first, enough to stand up to the King of all people, so maybe I judge him a little too harshly.

But honestly, even though he was doing all of this, there wasn't really anything I could think of that I wanted from the man.

"Please stand, Colonel Paragus. I'm not the King nor the Prince. Having someone bow to me makes me uncomfortable." I told him, awkwardly rubbing the back of my neck. "Besides, I don't really need anything."

He looked up with widened eyes before standing up on his feet a few seconds later.

"I see... But there must be something I can do to repay you!" He exclaimed, apparently not wanting to leave today without giving me something.

I let out a sigh and rack my mind up and down for something I could get some use out of. There's genuinely nothing on this planet that I wanted.

Well actually...

"What about that ship?" I asked, snapping my fingers in realization.

I always wanted a spaceship. Kai Kai made the use for one kind of obsolete, but that didn't matter to me.

It was a spaceship.

Everyone wants a fucking spaceship.

"Ship?" He asked back with a confused expression.

"Yeah, the ship that you assigned for me to use during my first time off world." I reminded him.

He looked at me with furrowed eyebrows, almost as if he was insulted by my words; "The ship? That's what you want? Are you certain?"

The hell? I just said that I wanted it, didn't I? Don't look at me as if it was the simplest thing I could've asked for.

Actually, I'm almost positive that it was the simplest thing that I could've asked for. He is a Colonel after all. I wouldn't be surprised if he could give me a ship the size of Frieza's, but that isn't really what I wanted at the moment.

"I'm sure." I nodded.

He seems to be dissatisfied with my answer, but he sighed and nodded his head.

"Alright then." He said before clenching his fist and holding it up to about his chest area. "I'll have my men construct a landing pad near your residence and make sure that our scientists upgrade the ship with the latest technology before sending it to you."

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked, my eyes widening a bit at his proclamation.

"I'll be sure that everything is done before the week is done!" He says even louder before he started to walk away.

"No, wait, that isn't what I--"

"Good day, Zyleth. I'll leave you to your training!" He yells as he started flying, his voice getting farther and farther away.

"No, no, no, wa-- And he's gone..." I muttered as he flew away.

Say what you want about the man, you can't say he's ungrateful...

Looking back, I see Broly looking at me with the same curious expression.

"Sup." I greet the child, nodding my head at him nonchalantly.

He nods his head at me and continues to stare. We continue like this for a while, just standing there and awkwardly staring at each other. Just as I was about to speak, I hear very loud footsteps walking towards us.

Actually, scratch that, it sounded more like straight up marching.

I look back and see the Prince walking towards us, but beside him was some skinny looking Saiyan that was the cause of said marching.

They both stopped in front of us, and I could notice that Vegeta's eyebrow seemed to be twitching in annoyance.

"Presenting the son of His Majesty, Prince Vegeta!" The skinny looking Saiyan announced, yelling even though we were directly in front of him.

Broly and I look at them, then at each other, then back towards them again, the both of us more confused than anything.

"You're not going to announce that shit every time he comes out here, are you?" I asked with a blank stare.

"I beg your pardon? You'll be wise to respect those of a higher standing, a boy of lower standing such as yourself should be honored to be chosen by--"

I raise my index and middle fingers in the shape of a gun and shoot a Ki blast right past his head, destroying a pillar that was standing directly behind him.

"Shut the fuck up." I told him simply.

His eyes widen and he stepped towards me, bending down right to face.

"You absolute trash! Do you realize who you are treating with such disrespect?! One word from me and the King will strike you down with a finger! I suggest that you--"

I put up a single fist, holding it right up to his face. He paused, looking at me with indignation before my middle finger suddenly smacked him right in the forehead, sending him flying right out of the courtyard.

"Stuck up, loud mouthed prick, show you what my middle finger can do." I muttered with gritted teeth.

Broly seemed shocked by my actions, which isn't all that surprising to me. He's pretty tame for Saiyan standards. No, what was surprising was the smirk on that appeared on the Prince's face when I just swatted away his attendant.

"Don't like him that much?" I asked him.

"No." He replied concisely.

Hmm...

Maybe I judged him too harshly too...
