In my exhausted state, I resisted. Putting up a significantly thick barrier to protect me from this thick, inky fog. The last thing I saw was Ink, laughing.
From the army's perspective, they had just finished fighting a long, drawn out battle against the enemy. The void was thick with worry, so much so that it felt like it would be enough to wake the dead. This was a terrible sight to see.
"Do you think that young man can resist any more?"
"We better hope he can pull this off. If not, we're all as good as dead."
It was a stand still, the ink clan, even though they thought it would be a perfect time to kill the humans, they were exhausted, and they wanted to witness this result. To witness the moment when their supreme master triumphs over the powerful enemy, the one who killed countless trillions of their kind. Sending their ink ridden souls to the pits of hell where they belong.
The only sounds that could be heard were the lone sounds of crackling, growing more and more muffled, and infrequent. The other sound was the cackling of Evil's incarnation, growing more ecstatic as the other sound muffled. All until the only sound remaining was that of the cackling.
Yang Kai had been managing to hold on to this three directions battle array for the entire battle. But it was at this moment his cultivation began roaring, tumbling, crying, thundering, rippling, and bursting. A moment of sheer worry, rage, and… love.
"AHAHAHA! Your strongest warrior is soon going to be my most powerful follower. I wonder who I should have killed first? Oh, I think getting rid of his own father would put a great smile on my face." A wild, evil, and treacherous smirk appeared on his face, any semblance of good… Was long gone now… Never to return…
~ Hell Realm ~
"FATHER! HELP HIM!"
"Darling you know I can't help until he's at least on death's door. Any sooner and I won't be able to make an excuse."
"FATHER!!!"
"Darling, calm down, this young man is not going to fall like so many others. He's already achieved a power so high that he can touch the precipice. A little gift like that isn't going to sway him. Especially since it'll just cap his power, permanently."
"My lovely Daughter, just wait, if you took interest in marrying him, you should believe in him. If you can't do that, I'm not sure I could support your decision any longer."
Upon hearing her parents, the king and queen of hell, the princess, sat down and watched the scene play out, struggling to handle this emotion. "I do believe in him, but am I not free to worry about his well-being?"
~ Inside the Inky Ball ~
"It's dark, very dark. I feel like I'm floating… Though, its an evil, sickening feeling."
I opened my eyes to try and see the truth of this place I was in. All I saw was objective evil. It was invading my body with a relentless effort. It hurt, I felt like my head and cultivation were going to erupt. It was the worst feeling I'd have ever felt. Feeling… I couldn't feel the existence of my family anymore.
"Is this seriously where I fall? I can't possibly lose here… If I lose I have to… At least… Imprison Ink once more. If not-"
"If not, everyone will die."
"Exactly. Huh? Who's that?"
"I think you know who I am, young man."
My lips curled into a smirk, sending a terrifying agony through my body, one like none other. "So, I was right then. I had a feeling this was the case."
"You've got good intuition. Especially for someone so young. Even taking that previous life of yours into account you're still younger than every open heaven realm today. You've truly pulled off something incredible."
"It's not over yet… But I'm struggling-"
"I can see that. For now, trust in yourself, trust in your power, you're capable of far more power than this. And what's more, you already know it. You just need to do it… So, Stop, Holding, Back. You still have to get back home. Those ladies are sure to welcome you home in a most pleasant way."
The images of my wives, smiling, and our time spent together. The scenes of how happy they were to see my siblings filled my mind. And it was then…
"Screw it… It's time to go all out. I'm not sure if I'll even be able to control this. But I'll do my best…"
My eyes reignited, allowing me to see through the inky fog. My sources began forming a full Yin-Yang motion… The power synergizing with each other. My Small Universes roared with a mighty power, generating excess power, sending it to physical form, expanding the formation of Small Universes. Above all, my cultivation that had begun forming the great Territory… Inner Domain. That barrier finished in that instant.
My strength rapidly grew to new levels. And then… "I will return home, and give my wives the family they've wanted for so long."
~ Outside the Inky Ball ~
The sound of cackling ceased, interrupted by the sound of a light crackling. Soon little sparks could be seen appearing throughout the void. Ink began preparing a massive attack, his aim was to kill me the moment I appeared.
"I really don't think I can handle a second fight with him. I must cause him some kind of extensive, mortal injury to him the moment he appears."
An eruption of lightning, followed by a seemingly endless bolt eviscerating the other Ink Clan, regardless of where they were hiding. And then… The ball vanished… Replaced with a youngman, in an odd looking form, surrounded by an aura so powerful it puts the weak on their knees, in an effort to survive. They would bow their heads.
"DIE!"
Ink fired a beam type attack in my direction. But the lack of control, caused me to barely get out of taking the full hit. Only losing my left arm and leg. Both of which I instantly replaced with a dense thundering aura… Tangible lightning. I snarled…
The fight between great masters began once more. This time, I was clearly the stronger one, by quite a bit.
"I've got to draw this fight out…"
Ink began his flight from the fight, but, I wouldn't let him. With a roar, I gave a brutal chase.
