As I flew into the gap, my Lightning followed, and wrapped into a spherical barrier around me. The danger I presented to the Ink Clan was clear, obvious and unavoidable. Out of the insane number of fighters present, only 10% of them remained alive, and of those, the ones who were just a little too close, had been stripped of their cultivation in spades. Most dropped by 1 rank while others dropped by 2 and even 3.
"Woah! Now that's a hell of a technique!"
"Shut up, there's no time to laugh."
"You're right, there's still plenty of meat left for all of us to sink our teeth into."
"And by plenty, you really mean…"
"Our bellies will burst, AHAHAHA! Forward, and, KILL THE ENEMY!"
The clash of the human race and ink clan began. I could sense the whole of the battle, and yet, it wasn't a great experience. "I can't keep everyone alive. If I could, I'd have come here myself. It really is a shame though, ten brave warriors have lost their lives to the ink clan… 11… 13…"
I sped up through the restriction, finally finding my target, Mu's Spacetime River. And it was just then that some uninvited guests appeared.
Each of these creations were in humanoid form, small like a normal human, yet way stronger than any ink giant spirit god. There were 7 of them, yet they also stayed outside of my barrier. On cursor notice a small bead of sweat fell from brow.
"Ha, you can't handle these 7 creatures. I guarantee you can't beat them."
"I don't think you understand my strength all that well, Ink. Though, I suppose I should ask, how long did it take you to create these higher clones?"
"HAHAHA! You lie, you're nervous, that drop of sweat betrays you. Much like the 10 experts betrayed me…"
I laughed a hearty laugh, holding my sides. "You really are stupid. Just answer my question, traitor."
Ink roared with fury, and then started talking. "I'm going to love watching these creations kill you, it will make the 5 years of effort worthwhile."
Looking around, I raised my guard. "Well then, let's see what your ultimate pawns are capable of, shall we?"
"KILL HIM DEAD!"
The seven inky creatures began their assault. Their movements were like they had practiced this at least hundreds of times. It was rather impressive for something that Ink Created. However…
"They are still too weak…"
"WHAT?"
With a single punch, one instantly vaporized, and converted into a pure energy. The result was its strength adding to my own… So there wasn't any change to my own power…
"Way too weak… I expected a challenge. Perhaps your original form will provide a better challenge."
"Come back to me!"
…
"What were you trying to do exactly?"
"Why aren't they coming to me?"
"Because they are already dead. You just haven't caught up with it yet."
Ink roared, so loud that it interrupted the battle happening outside the restriction. "YOU BASTARD!" And a flood of inky power flowed out from inside the gargantuan Space-Time river.
The 6 remaining figures Ink had tried to ambush me with finally vanished. "Yeah, that's a lot better. Keep it coming, don't leave anything behind. You're going to need it against me."
"You're just waiting around? You're over confident."
"No, I'm just making sure I am fighting your full existence. I wouldn't want you escaping on me."
With a sour grin, ink cackled. "Then you'll die, and I'll be… Free"
A few moments later, Ink was finally finished. There was nothing left within the Space-Time River. He was still coalescing his body, and fully awakening to the power he had.
I reached my hand out, and pulled the entire river into my own cultivation. "That… Was painful…"
"Stupid boy! You just handed me the victory."
"No, I knew you'd be a little stronger than me. I have my reasons for doing things this way. My goal is to defeat you. Whatever else happens, is of little consequence."
Ink's body finished forming. And just as I suspected, he showed me exactly what I needed to see. "Why are you grinning like that boy? Did you have a death wish? You should be able to sense it now. You're no match for me."
"No, you'll see soon. Let's start our fight already." I turned my head. "You two ready out there?"
"Who are you talking to?"
"Oh gee, I wonder who it could possibly be?"
"You Brat!"
Thus began our fight. With a collision of our fists, sending out shockwaves. The restriction shattered, revealing the two of us a seemingly normal distance, yet, it was insurmountable. With a flurry of punches, kicks, and other blows. It was truly a fight between martial artists.
Cang, and Shi, the two of them, having recalled what my instructions were, absorbed the remaining energy of the restriction into their own cultivations. It was not an easy feat for them to pull off, but it did start to loosen Cang's bottleneck.
The two clashing armies, seeing their strongest fighting it out, grew even more inspired, taking the fighting to a whole other level. The handful of newly promoted 9th ranks, worked together using their new found insight of the battlefield.
"Seniors! There's no Ink Giant Spirit Gods to be found!"
"Then if we can annihilate this inky clan, we can move to assist the young, Temporal Thunder Divine Emperor!"
"RIGHT! KILL THE ENEMY!"
The Void began flooding with the corpses of fallen soldiers. However, there was something odd about the human race army. They were taking corpses off the battlefield, and then moments later the fallen warrior would return to battle.
"That idea your son had, has already proven exceptionally effective. We've hardly lost any warriors because of it."
"Well, it's better this way, having the seriously wounded get immediate treatment, will keep our numbers up for longer periods. It truly is a powerful boon. I just hope it lasts long enough."
Cang and Shi, having finished their own preparations, joined in the battle, showing off an extreme degree of prowess that could only be described as terrifying.
"Ha! That makes 3 royal Lords now!"
"And that makes 4 for me."
"Come on, I know you're lying Cang. I was always the stronger of the two of us."
"Ah, well, you reincarnated, I retained my full natural strength, and grew more. All thanks to that freakish kid over there…"
"Freakish? More like impossible."
"Either way, let's mop up this trash."
