Chapter 22 - "Talk"

The aftermath of Rocks' death still hung in the air like a thick fog, leaving the world reeling from the implications of the battle. Despite the victory, there was no time for celebration; instead, there was an overwhelming sense of caution. As I stood amidst the wreckage of battle, my mind kept returning to the same thought—this wasn't the end. No, not by a long shot.

Rocks' demise had created a power vacuum, one that would soon be filled, and I could feel the weight of what was to come. With his death, the world would change, but who would take his place? Would the remaining pirates rally under a new banner, or would they fragment? Either way, the balance of power in the seas had shifted dramatically.

The reports from the battlefield were slow to arrive, but one thing was certain: the Rocks Pirates were gone, their fearsome leader vanquished, but their legacy lived on in the chaos they had left behind. Now, the entire world would look toward the future.

Back at Marine Headquarters, Kong's decision was clear. The battle had been won, but the war was far from over. The enemies that had fallen in battle were only the first of many; I could feel the pressure building from every side. With the World Government in turmoil and powerful pirates like Whitebeard, Roger, and Big Mom still lurking, the seas would never truly know peace.

Sitting in my office late one evening, I stared at the reports spread out before me—statistics, plans, potential threats, and allies. It was all too much to absorb in one sitting. The Marines were weakened, but not broken, and with Kong at the helm, we could still hold the line. But as I looked at the faces of those who had fallen and those who had given everything, I couldn't shake the feeling that we were on the precipice of something even greater.

As the door to my office creaked open, I turned to find my brother, Garp, standing there, his expression as unreadable as ever.

"Gojo," he said quietly. "You know as well as I do that this isn't over. We just won a battle, but the war is still out there, waiting for us."

I nodded, the weight of the situation pressing heavily on my chest. "I know. But we need to be ready for what's coming. The Gods, the pirates, the revolutionaries… they're all waiting for the right moment."

Garp stepped forward, resting a hand on my shoulder. "And we'll be ready. No matter what. That's our job."

With that, we stood in silence, the weight of our duty hanging in the air between us. The seas were vast, and the battles we had fought were only a glimpse of what awaited us. But I knew one thing for certain: we would face it all, together. The future, whatever it held, was ours to shape.
