"Huh?"
Chu Yao subconsciously lifted her hand, only to see a ruby necklace on her wrist, and then she remembered that today she was dressed head to toe in a new collection from a certain brand. Her usual watch clashed with this ultra-luxury brand, so she had taken it off after changing.
She took Lu Zhenzhen's hand and glanced at the time.
Ten past ten.
She had a rule, no matter the formality of the dinner, she had to leave before ten o'clock.
And at this point, she still hadn't seen a soul.
"I guess she must've been held up by something. I'll give her a call and see."
Chu Yao called Sister Mi, twice in fact, but the ringing went on until it cut off automatically.
"What's wrong?"
Lu Zhenzhen looked at her concerned, "Didn't get through?"
"Sister Mi always has her phone on her, it's not like her to ignore my calls."
