Venera nodded obediently and added softly but determinedly, "I will wait for you."
It may be that Seth's presence which had always kept her company over the years has become a kind of dependence for the little human girl, so she could not help but want to remain close to him all the time. It was like a habit of sorts.
"Oh, someone is coming," the red-haired vampire abruptly announced, shattering the comfortable silence in between them.
"Someone?" Venera asked in confusion.

The little vampire queen is simply a normal human child that was not equipped with superhuman senses. It was practically impossible for her to pick up if someone was coming over to her tent or not when vampires themselves do not make noise when they walk.
