The Eight-clawed King, upon hearing Xu Nian's words, turned to look at the Penglai Sect Leader.
"Sect Leader, this matter does not concern Penglai. Xu Nian shouldn't be a part of Penglai, right? I hope the Sect Leader will not intervene," the Eight-clawed King addressed the Penglai Sect Leader.
The Penglai Sect Leader chuckled and said, "I think you are mistaken. Xu Nian has just become our Penglai Sect's Alien Minister Elder, therefore he is naturally one of our Penglai people."
Having said that, the Penglai Sect Leader tossed a token directly to Xu Nian.
Xu Nian caught the token.
It bore the words "Penglai Minister" on it.
Xu Nian responded with a slight smile and gladly pocketed the token.
Penglai had rules in place.
Anyone recognized by the Evil Extermination Sword Array could become a Penglai Alien Minister Elder.
Xu Nian could hardly accept something from Penglai and then not do anything in return.
