Villain Ch 1509. Don't Lie to Me, I Know Her
Allen scoffed.
That little half-laugh he did when he wasn't amused but wasn't surprised either. He leaned back in his chair, arms crossing lazily over his chest, a sharp smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Yeah. She told me that before," he said flatly. "Told me she'd make me beg her to take me back."
Vivian's expression didn't move, but her eyes darkened just a touch. Mila blinked in surprise.
Allen let the silence hang just long enough before he added, "I still don't get it, though. She's had a good life since we broke up. That was, what—two years ago? Moved on, got work, made her network. Why come back now?"
Mila shifted in her seat. "Because she found out you're a Goldborne," she said quietly.
Allen nodded, eyes flicking to her. "Yeah. That's one of the reasons. But she was already weird before she knew that."
Mr. Bell furrowed his brow. "What do you mean?"
