Cassian walked out of the library, huffing. His red eyes were filled with anger. Yet, he took a deep breath and composed himself.
"I can't get riled up because of a young person who isn't even fifty yet."
His gaze swept across the surroundings, taking in every single detail. A flicker of old memories danced in his eyes, remnants of the time he had spent in this very place.
"We both started here, didn't we?"
A laugh escaped his lips, a mirthless, cold, detached, chilling sound. That sounded very familiar to Kyle, who had followed after him secretly after getting curious about him. It reminded him of those obsidian eyes that always stared at him with emptiness.
Cassian's lips twisted into a smile, yet his eyes remained cold. He felt desperate, so much so that he wanted to end everything and everyone, just to kill the person who had made him the way he was today.
"Yet, how ironic. How ironic..."
