They were lucky to be born in this era, allowing them to leave the sunless Underground World and come to the Surface World, a place their elders had talked about, nagged about, marveled at, and yearned for countless times.
At first, when they came to the surface, Sidov and Roy Kien couldn't get enough of the azure sky and the scorching sun; they also used to close their eyes for a long time to feel the breeze brushing past their scalps and to breathe in the faint scent of wildflowers and the chill from distant snow-capped mountains, feeling themselves to be the most content and fortunate fallen elves in the world.
