"My parents must not find me here". Jenny said to her friend.
The two eight year olds were playing in jeminas mum's rose garden. Apparently, jenny had snuck out to meet with jemima, who lived two blocks away.
"How were you even able to sneak out?".Jemima asked.
"Mum went out and nanny fell asleep".
"ohh".
"I just came to tell you that I think I will be leaving the country soon".Jenny suddenly said.
Jeminas eyes widened.
"But...but...you didn't even get to play with my new doll yet!" Jemima cried.
"I'm really sorry, jemima, my daddy has been behaving weird these days, he doesn't buy me chocolates anymore and doesn't come home early and he yells at my mom all the time, then one day, I overheard him telling my mommy that we will be leaving the country and I don't know why".
"Looks like this may be the last time I will see you".
"So you are really leaving?" Jemima asked with tears in her eyes.
"Yes". Jenny replied.
"I'm going to miss you". Jemima said and hugged her.
"There they are! I found them!" A voice rang in their ears before jenny could reply jemima.
"Oh no, it's my mom!". Jenny panicked.
When her mom found them, she scolded jenny and dragged her by the ear back to the house. When they got home, mom sent her to her room while dad just observed the whole commotion and later called to speak to mom in his room. Of course, jenny had behind the door of his room to be able to hear what they were saying.
"It won't take long till our cover is blown" Dad said.
"Well, what do we do?"Mom asked with worry all over her face.
"We leave tomorrow".
"But.." Mum tried to say.
"No explanation". Dad cut her off.
"Okay, I'll start packing".

Femi Johnson balanced himself on his revolving office chair. He really felt like he had the whole world in his hands. He deserved this and he knew it. Finally, he was going to take over from his father in a matter of weeks and become the youngest ever director of the FIRS. Of course, it wasn't a family business, it was a government firm that helped generate revenue for the country, so it wasn't normal for a son to take over his father's position in this line of work, one had to be appointed by the state to lead the firm. He got appointed due to his diligence and hard work. There was literally no other person perfect for the job. The fact that he chose this line of work alone showed how serous he took his decisions.
He was the second son of his parents out of three sons. His elder brother, Bode, decided to follow a "boring" medical career, according to him, in the United States while the last born, Kayode, decided to become a free living, charming, real estate agent, which pissed their dad off by the way.
On the other hand, he decided to become a rich and successful chartered accountant and economist that would dominate the the economic sector of the country as well as the political sector, and he was one step to fulfilling that dream.
"Let's just check out my emails, shall we?it's been long I checked, I'm sure there would be many letters and contracts waiting for me".He sighed.
After scrolling through the emails for almost half an hour, he caught sight of a letter sent from a private address.
"Hmmm...that's interesting, I thought I gave an order that emails shouldn't be sent privately to me".
He opened up the letter and saw that it was a letter of apology from a junior staff.
"From...Victoria Coker? She must be one of those new recruits. Maybe she doesn't know about the order. I will have to give it again." He said and called on his secretary, Chisom.
She came in a minute later, dressed in a black skimpy dress that barely covered her laps coupled with knee high boots. It was easy to judge from first glance that she was dressing to impress him. He just didn't seem to be interested and this made her mad
"Get this message to the broadcasting department, tell them to convey the message on out website before tomorrow". he said and gave her a folded paper.
"yes, sir". She replied, slightly winking at him.
"What was that?" He asked abruptly.
"Did you just wink at me?"
"Oh, no sir, there's just something in my eyes". She lied.
"Better" He said, and handed her the letter.
"You can leave now".
"Okay, sir". She replied sadly. Once again, she left his office disappointed.
