Chapter 145 - The Greedy Witch 3

Hello, again!

-Echidna-

When she asked that question, she was granted an answer, and the answer was mostly things that she expected after observing the place for a bit.

Echidna was initially correct about her guess that this place was a shop, but what came after surprised her.

As she was the type of woman who rarely surprised, the last time she did was so long that she could barely remember that memory.

But, right now she couldn't simply contain and visually show it through her face, not a fake surprised look that she often uses to trick people, but a genuine surprise.

"You're saving that this shop has everything?"

The man, who she knew as Archer (what a weird name, but considering she heard stranger names, it wasn't too out of place), claimed that this shop didn't just sell anything, but rather everything and anything that she could possibly think of.

"That's correct; it's a bold claim, I know. But it's completely real, as unbelievable as it may sound." Archer replied.

If what he said was true, then this place was more than she thought; at the same time, it was also an opportunity.

Echidna had never been so expectant of something as she did now, then she couldn't help but ask if her dream, her greatest goal, was achievable through this shop. "If this shop truly has everything, then is there an item or anything that would make me able to save everyone?"

Suddenly, the atmosphere changed; it wasn't pleasant anymore, but instead, it was oppression.

Even someone like her who is clueless in reading the room, knew that something was wrong as the man she was talking to was directly looking at her with an indescribable expression.

His steel-like pupils were like hawks staring at her as if wanting to dissect her entire being.

It was so intense to the point she felt uncomfortable, of all people who were unfazed at everything.

Even though it was just a minute, it felt like forever.

"...and why do you want to save everyone?"

It's a strange question, but regardless, it's one that she could answer. "It's my lifelong dream to save everyone no matter what."

Archer didn't say anything, but clearly, he was thinking deeply. Then, he spoke, but this time, his tone was different. "I can't answer that question, I should call my employer to answer that question for you."

It's like he couldn't stand to talk to her any longer than this, like she was some sort of plague that needed to be avoided.

Echidna wondered why, but honestly, she wasn't a stranger to such treatment; being a Witch doesn't usually come with a good reputation.

However, compared to that, this one feels different; unlike the usual excuse of hating her because they simply don't understand her powers, this man hated her for something personal.

Whatever that is, she doesn't know but she had a feeling that asking him would be a terrible idea.

After all, this man is a killer.

It was obvious to see, it was part of the reason why she guarded herself with magic.

This man is worse than that hooligan Reid Astrea, not in manners but in how many lives this person slaughtered.

Not even the most heinous killer that she had met made her feel like this; his mana was so thick with the smell of blood and steel that it was almost impossible for her to continue analyzing the man.

Yet, despite the countless lives this man took, for a strange reason, he was very different from that killer she met.

What an intriguing individual this is; however, it was a pity that he didn't want to associate with her for reasons that he only knew.

Little did she know that every day, she met 'that person.'

"Oh, right. I suppose. It's only fair to introduce myself to you. My name is Echidna and The Witch Of Greed, and I want to know if there's an item or a solution that could save everyone." Echidna said.

While I already knew her name, it was nice of her to introduce herself. Still, it makes me wonder if this Echidna was the original one rather than the copy from Castle Of Dream.

It was just a fragment version of her, a cruel version that defined the Witch Of Greed.

Then I decided to look at her profile.

[ Name: Echidna

Sex: F

Age: 25

STR: F

END: F-

AGI: F-

MANA: EX+

LUCK: A+

Innate Skill :

Natural Witch: A+

(Description: Excludes the presence of a witch, everyone who is near her would realize that she is a witch; as a witch, she is a prodigy in magic-related subjects.)

Devourer Of Knowledge: EX

(Description: An individual that would devour any knowledge she could get her hands on, never be satisfied, unending thirst for knowledge.) ]

It was interesting to see, but I confirmed that she is indeed from the pre-canon timeline where she was still alive.

But she's really weak, though, physically, at least,, but her mana is off the charts.

However, for her acquired skill slot there's definitely a lot of it. I couldn't continue reading it because it would surely take a while, but if my calculations were accurate, then the total list of her acquired skills is at least a few thousand.

She knew a lot of magic skills, a lot of them.

Heck, dozens of them are ranked EX, it makes me wonder how ridiculously overpowered this woman is.

To think she was one of the weakest of her group, but then again, knowing what the other witches of sin could do, it's not surprising since their powers are conceptual.

Anyway, to answer her question. The short answer would be yes like there are countless items or solutions that could definitely achieve her dream of saving everyone in her world.

However, if she meant saving everyone, like everyone across the multiverse, then that's impossible.

I can't think of a single solution unless one is truly omnipotent. Only then would it be possible to save everyone.

But just to be sure, because I don't want to assume. "To answer your question about the shop having an item or solution that could save everyone in your world, then yes, there's a lot, but does this saving everyone apply to other worlds as well?"

Echidna raised a brow at that, then answered. "Why would I save other worlds? Their fate has nothing to do with mine."

With that, I sigh in relief. Here I thought I'd encounter another Emiya, but thankfully, this one is more realistic than Mr. Hero Of Justice.

I mean, statically, there's nothing realistic about saving everyone as there are just individuals who don't deserve to be or those who don't want to be saved.

How could save a person that doesn't want to be saved anyway?

Let them die, it's their choice.

"Good, well. It's certainly possible to save everyone, but are certain that's what you want? I mean, it's like I have something against your goal. Personally, it's very beautiful. However, some people aren't worth saving, and some individuals simply don't want to be saved."

Echidna didn't even think twice and said, "I'm not that naive; I'm very aware that there are people who simply don't deserve to live and people don't need saving; that's why I'll only save those who I deem acceptable."

Now that's more realistic and more achievable, too; you just need a ton of power to back it up.

But at the same, it makes me wonder what exactly is 'saving everyone' for her?

If she agrees with my words earlier, then doesn't that make her a hypocrite?

In my perspective, she just wanted to save 'everyone' who she deemed worthy, exactly like a tyrant.

But I'm not here to discuss philosophy with her, I'm here to sell guns for her to use.

"If that's how you see then, I'd gladly agree with it. Now, please take a seat and pick the ones you want the most for your goal of saving your people, is there any snack or drink you want? It's in the house, you don't need to pay for it." I said.

Echidna approached one of the sofas that I recently installed as one of my customers said that the original chair was quite plain and boring.

That's why I bought a specific sofa that changes according to the sitter's taste, meaning it's literally the perfect sofa.

As Echidna sat down, the sofa's appearance began to change to a luxurious black leather sofa that looked incredibly comfortable to sit on.

"Ohh, this is very comfortable." Echidna praised the furniture, then continued. "I would like some tea and some desserts, flavour doesn't matter as long as it's sweet."

I nodded then as I was about to relay this to my employee, I noticed that he was near the counter leaning on some wall.

Seeing him, I immediately realized that he was listening to our conversation, then I said with a smirk. "Emiya, she's not you. I'm sure you heard her, unlike you, who wanted to save everyone regardless of what they were. However, she's completely pragmatic with her view of saving."

Emiya didn't reply but gave a slight nod.

I'm sure that he was very relieved to hear that, after all, Echidna was no second coming of Shirou Emiya.

She's a witch, her view is far from normal.

Welp, she ain't the hero of justice. Her views of saving everyone are more pragmatic than idealistic.
