Two days had passed since Killian dispatched the detachment sent by Mosi, and today was the day Mosi had decided to publicly execute Cesar to lure Wukong back out.
The remaining members of the Bagshaw Clan Killian had been too lazy to kill previously and had returned and told their clan leader exactly what happened. Like with Wukong, although the strength Killian displayed would normally have made Mosi back down, the temptation of capturing a three-way soul mutate was too tempting.
It wasn't that he wanted to enslave Killian and force him to serve his Bagshaw Clan. The truth was that he wanted to experiment on the man's soul in an attempt to try and figure out the secrets behind becoming a soul mutate.
Unfortunately, he couldn't afford to drop everything and go after him. For one, he had no idea where Killian was, and two, he was far more interested in Wukong's Staffmanship.
There had been several soul mutates over the years, and he knew several experts – some of whom were Sovereigns – had captured them in an attempt to do the same thing, but Wukong's skill with the staff was something that he, in his extremely long life, had never even heard of.
If he could understand the secrets to it, there was a chance that he could bring his strength to a whole new level and for him, who was virtually invincible beneath the Paragon Realm but hadn't been able to take that final step in god knows how long, that was something he wanted more than almost anything.
As such, the most he could do at that moment was order some of his subordinates to put some feelers out to try and track down Killian so he could catch up to him another day whilst he focused on capturing Wukong today.
Mosi floated patiently in the skies above Miluo Island, and behind him was his son, Bakwill Bagshaw, a supreme expert among deities, second only to Mosi himself, who was holding Cesar up in the air by his neck.
The father and son duo waited patiently for over 12 hours. These were experts whose age could be calculated by the million; a few hours to them was no different than the blink of an eye. Still, since they publicly declared that they would execute Cesar today if Wukong didn't arrive by 23:59, they would kill him and figure out another way to track him down.
Unbeknownst to the Bagshaw Clan, Wukong and the other two experts mentioned by Killian's attackers were only a few thousand miles away from Miluo Island – just outside of the range of Mosi's Godrealm.
The two experts besides Wukong were precisely Tarosse and Dylin. They, along with Cesar, had been alongside Wukong in the Infernal Realm for the last 1300+ years, and as a result, they had all grown very close.
The fact that Cesar was facing death broke their hearts, but at that moment, both men were arguing with Wukong, trying to convince him not to go.
As much as they wanted to save their brother-in-arms, they weren't willing to watch Wukong rush to what, in their eyes, was certain death.
Not only had Mosi proven to be stronger than Wukong – even after entering his berserk state – this time, he had almost definitely set some sort of trap to keep Wukong from leaving.
Still, Wukong refused to listen. He refused to just sit by and watch as someone he now considered to be a brother died.
He told Tarosse and Dylin to leave by themselves and find a way to track Ace and his group down and avenge them in the future, but they refused. They told him that if he were so determined to die today, they would die along with him.
Wukong wanted to argue, but just by looking at the resolve in their eyes, he knew it would be pointless. Instead, he grinned and told them that if they were going to die today, they would take down as many of the Bagshaw bastards as possible before they did.
The trio was just about to fly off on their suicide mission when they felt a giant disturbance coming from Miluo Island.
Hurrying in that direction and spreading their respective Godrealms when they were in range, they were left speechless when they saw what was happening.
Against all odds, they witnessed Ace leading Killian, Kannal, Osiris, and Faye in what could only be described as a one-sided massacre of the multitude of so-called experts on Miluo Island.
And in the skies above, two earth-shattering battles were taking place. One was Between Mosi's son, Bakwill, and Alissa, who had somehow already managed to rescue Cesar from his grasp, and on the other side was Mosi himself facing off against a horse-sized obsidian-coloured lion radiating a fiery scarlet hue.
It was then that the trio heard Ace's roaring laughter as he called out to them, asking if they were planning on just watching.
Hearing that, a fiendish and competitive grin appeared on Wukong's face as he transformed into a bolt of lightning heading straight for the battlefield with Dylin and Tarosse right behind him.
The already one-sided battle between both sides became even more lopsided the moment Wukong landed. Even without entering his berserk state, Wukong was a High God whose [Tribulation Staff Art] had reached the peak of the Full God realm and had even comprehended over 25% of *True Lightning*. He could be considered a monster even among commanders!
But the fights in the sky were a different story. Both sides were very evenly matched. Still, eventually, a victor was bound to be decided, and those victors were Leona and Alissa, respectively.
Leona, under the shocked eyes of the innocent bystanders, defeated the invincible existence that was Mosi before summoning the phantom of a giant obsidian lion that looked identical to her.
Mosi, who was now too weak to even stand, watched in horror as the phantom created a terrifying devouring force that seemed to target nothing but his Divine Spark.
Unlike most, Leona's Divine Ability wasn't one that helped her in battle. Still, as an Apex Divine Ability, it was no less heaven-defying than Bebe's Godeater ability, but instead of allowing to devour any Divine Spark of almost any opponent, provided their spiritual essence wasn't too much stronger than the user's, hers allowed her to devour the destruction-type Divine Spark of her target to absorb their comprehension to bolster her own. The only prerequisites were that she had to have defeated them herself, and whilst they had to be alive, they had to be too weak to resist.
Leona had used it over a dozen times during her stay in the Celestial Realm on just about any Destruction-type opponent they came across, but the Edict of Destruction was a pretty niche Law in the first place. Add that to the fact that the experts in the Celestial Realm mainly focused on the laws of Fate, and you could imagine why it was so difficult for her to progress her comprehension of the Edict of Destruction during her time there.
That all changed during their last few years in the Infernal Realm. They hadn't been there for more than three years, but in that time, she had consumed over 20 Destruction-type Divine Sparks.
Unfortunately, her luck wasn't too great. Most of those were only Demi-Gods and Full Gods. As a result, her comprehension of the Edict of Destruction had only progressed to the peak of the Full God realm, and because the Divine Sparks she consumed were so weak, it took no longer than 30 seconds to assimilate their comprehension with her own, but Mosi was different.
The moment she devoured Mosi's Divine Spark, Leona fell directly into a coma, only to be caught by Ace.
At the same time, because Bakwill was still reeling from the shock of his father – an existence who had been all but invincible to him his whole life – having his most powerful divine clone killed just like that, he was too slow to react to Alissa's blade separating his head from his shoulders and killing him.
Just like that, the Bakwill Clan's two most powerful experts, along with the majority of their forces, had been killed.
Or at least, that was what they believed until Ace took Mosi's spatial ring and attempted to open it, only to find that he couldn't.
He immediately understood that Mosi still had at least one other body out there. Still, Ace wasn't too fussed. Although an expert on Mosi's level, who was the head of an extremely ancient and powerful clan, was almost guaranteed to have a wealth that not even he would be able to simply brush aside, in comparison to the joy of seeing Wukong again, it couldn't even compare.
Whilst Ace and the others were all celebrating meeting again after all these years, Mosi's true body, which was on the opposite side of the Starmist Sea in seclusion, opened his eyes for the first time in over a million years.
