Under the towering and solemn Five Wisdom Tathagatas, two old abbots clad in red kasayas were seated on meditation cushions, rotating their Buddha Beads in hand while mumbling scriptures under their breath.
One of them was the abbot of Zhengde Temple Li Huowang had met years ago, with a distinct appearance, similar to Bai Lingmiao—they had pink pupils, both afflicted with albinism.
Although the appearance of the other abbot looked quite normal, he bore an uncanny resemblance to the monk by Li Huowang's side. He was the abbot of Zhengde Temple from Da Qi, and compared to when they had met in Niuxin Village, he had obviously gained much weight.
"Amitabha."
"Amitabha."
Seeing the other party reciting the Buddha's name while looking at him, Li Huowang came to sit on the meditation cushion in front of them.
"Benefactor Li, since you have come to the temple, it would be inappropriate not to offer incense to the Buddha, don't you think?" the abbot from Siqi's Zhengde Temple said.
