With water up to nearly their chests, Alix and Maximus ran out of the water and brandished their swords.
Considering they were built more lithely than men like Henry or Trenton, the knights decided it was best that they keep watch of the wagons rather than being at the base.
However, when goblins were sighted, they were the first two out of the water. If there was something the two of them could handle easily, it was a few northern goblins to add to the excitement.
Sure enough, the pack horses that stood at the edge of the group were being approached by two goblins wearing makeshift wooden armor and carrying rusty swords.
It was always so amusing to Alix the way the northern goblins dressed themselves in armor and seemed to never run out of weapons. It would certainly be interesting to see how Henry would likely grow his skill after some time in such a volatile place. He would even bet a great deal that the goblins in Polona were nothing compared to Chemois.
