It only took what? 5 minutes for the shit show to begin. First were the poor, poor patients.
"(Valyrian) What do you mean you can't cure my child?! You expect him to live his life like this!! Pleased help him! I'll do anything!!"
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GAURD THIS CITY IF I'M FUCKING BLIND!! I'll bugger you with a bloody SPEAR!!"
"AAAH!!*crying* You mean I-I'll be like this forever!! I'm already blind in my other eye, so now...now I won't be able to see my children again*weeps*"
Virsal didn't quite understand what they all were saying, yet from their expression he can tell they were getting more desperate by the second. Some spoke the common tongue though, I'll mark those for later.
'Now, all I have to do is--- oh, oh! There it is! The first 'doctor' has fallen! Hehe'
"(Valyrian) Please calm down, we're doing everything we can to find a cure-- wha- what is happening. My--my EYE!?! Why can't I see!!"
His colleague seeing his friend being infected and effectively blinded beside him, e hurriedly shouted out of panic and with no regard to the mayhem his lone sentence would cause.
All the while this was the word Virsal has been waiting for for.
He said, "This ailment-- i-i-it SPREADS!!"
Hearing his words, all the nosy, curious bystanders immediately retreated slowly, which then turned into a full on dash away from the square.
In this city of Pentos, quarantine was still unheard of, if an infectious and crippling desease such as this is discovered, the maestors fearing for their pig lives and safety would order all those infected be it men, women or children to be.... executed on the spot.
Which would explain the infected's next decision as they started running after the dispersing crowd in an effort to escape their fate.
The crowd, seeing the infected hot on their tails, were fear stricken, and with adrenaline pumping through their veins, they increased their pace while throwing rocks, logs, vases and whatever else they could find lying around in an effort to slow them down. So the infected retaliated.
This obviously led to some people tripping and getting trampled on to death in both parties. Neighbours who'd known each other for years found themselves on opposite sides, throwing rocks at each other.
"Pffft, hahahaha, kekeke" Virsal who now stood on the roof of a nearby building looked down on these happenings with great interest, amused. He knew he was the only one who could stop this, and it made him admire it even more.
But what he laughed at was the fact that the idiots have yet to discover the desease is transmissible by air...
And so, after around a dozen people were either injured or dead, the fleeing crowd found some amongst them to be infected.
In theit panic they hit them, which led the desease to spread faster through touch. Not before long, almost everyone became blinded in one eye.
They dropped their rocks, weapons and sticks and fell to the ground in despair, some wept, some lamented their and their children's future and some screamed. Some of the older folk just shook their head and accepted their fate, which earned a bit of Virsal's recognition.
--------Back to Virsal POV--------
Alrighty, they seem about ready, desperate enough, to meet a man who can solve all their problems, me, like a prince charming but I would prefer a charming dark knight in that case.
What they don't tell you about having a body waaaay stronger than the strongest human is that your throat is also stronger, hence why my next words echoed throughout most of Pentos.
"Hear me now! I know of your ailment and I know of its cure. Should you be willing, meet me at the city apothecary and you will be healed, for a certain price." His deep magnetic voice echoed throughout, making people dumbfounded yet elated at the declaration.
While the supposed doctors sneered, how could a nobody know how to cure something even we can't? The people were desperate and rushed from all over towards the apothecary.
Meanwhile, I headed over towards the apothecary below that was long emptied when people started running. Heading to one of the people that spoke the common tongue that I had my eye on, a woman of course, I instantly used COMPELL and spoke.
"Come with me and follow my every command till sunset."
She nodded and I headed inside and locked the thick iron door of the place behind me. A moment later I could hear various pleas of help along with countless begging.
"SILENCE" My loud voice echoed from inside, instantly silencing the rowdy crowd.
Opening the door, everyone finally saw my rather unique clothes and covered face, making them more suspicious of my claims, and rightfully so, I looked shady as hell.
In a calm voice that was somewhat slightly muffled from the mask I exclaimed "I will be here till sunset, so everyone form a single file line or by the gods will I heal none of you!"
The crowd instantly squeezed together forming a long line that extended past the horizon. Unfortunately, the people where so squeezed together that the woman in the line where either pushed out or were getting groped by the larger men in the group. While the servants were pushed out completely.
"I want a separate line to form for the woman, and a separate line for servants"
The effects were immediate, the woman were reliefed of their tight squeeze and the slaves, I mean servants, finally had a spot in the line. Although they are free men and women by law, the cost of their food, clothing, and shelter is higher than the value of their service and they become indebted to their masters.
I then ordered the woman I COMPELLED earlier to stand outside and start sending people in, one from a single line at a time.
Going back in, the apothecary had a single large hall about 5 meters and an arched roof with serval smaller rooms to the sides. A sat on a chair at the end of the hall opposite to the iron door. It didn't take long for the first man to enter.
I removed the gloves on my right hands which I will use for woman, and the left covered hand will be used for men, I don't want to touch some oily stinky men.
The man looked hesitant so I beckoned "Come over, I don't bite"
He walked until he was right Infront of me.
"So...what am I supposed to do--"
"Shshsh, You just need to relax, you will feel a little busy so prepare."

With that my covered left hand glowed and I placed it on his head. The Red viens started receding until they disappeared and slowly, the man began to open his eyes.
He cried tears of joy, "Hahaha, thank you so much" he fell on his knees and kept thanking me repeatedly.
"Now, now, did you forget the payment?"
He froze and looked on with trepidation on what the payment will be.
I re-placed my left hand back on his head and activated Blood Crystallization, and soon enough, the man's eyes widened as he spit a beautiful red marble out of his mouth.
He was looking a little dizzy but otherwise he was fine.
"This will be 112 copper pennies or 2 Silver stags." I smiled and rubbed my fingers.
Nodding, he brought out a leather pouch and handed me 2 silver stags.
[A/N: 1 copper penny is 1$, 1 silver stag is 56 pennies.]
"Next" I shouted loud enough for the COMPELLED woman outside to hear. And so the next person, a woman, came in.
I repeated this process over a hundred times, surprisingly, all the servants I've met till not had money, I'm guessing it was there own savings or their masters gave it to them to get treated.
Of course, it wasn't out of the virtue of their masters, the blind eye will come in the way of the servants work, plus, the grotesque viens around the infected eye were quite disturbing and ugly.
I was about to welcome a new patient when suddenly an arrogant voice sounded.
"(Bastard Valyrian) MAKE WAY, MAKE WAY FOR THE SONS OF MAGISTER CRUZE" a gaurd in orange attire wielding a short spear shouted at the crowd.
Since Pentos is not allowed by Braavos to hire sellswords, make contracts with free companies, or maintain an army, these people should be the personal gaurds of the so called Magister Cruze.
There were a total of twenty bald gaurds other than the man who shouted who stood in a tight formation surrounding two people who looked identical like twins, except for the dye on their hair.
The gaurds were pushing people wantonly and without restraint, they hit all who didn't move fast enough and thus destroying the orderly line that was outside. People didn't dare to resist and stuck to small talk about their frustrations with the people around them
Both of them had oiled long hair that was braided into a very short ponytail and trimmed beard. While one had dark blue dyed hair with hints of the original black still present, the other had dirty blonde mixed in with brown hair.
Red viens could be seen popping around their right, meaning they were infected, some of the gaurds were infected too.
Soon they reached the iron door and a gaurd shouted, "OPEN THE DOOR AT ONCE"
I opened the door, the murmuring of the crowd outside assaulted me and I looked at them calmly, I wasn't the least bit threatened by them.
Now if I was petty, or an arrogant young master from a cultivation novel, I would go out there, play the wolf in sheep's clothing and be a crouching Tiger and a sleeping dragon, then face slap those arrogant young masters.
[A/N: If you get the reference you're a legend (◠‿◕) ]
However, arrogant young master = MONEYYYYY.
My eyes had virtual $>$ dollar signs on them, as I placed my hands behind me. I towered over the gaurds and my large yet lean building had them soaked in cold sweat.
Suddenly the gaurds gave way as the two young men approached.
"(Common Tongue)Are you the one who claims is able to cure our ailment? If yes, hurry up and do it" The blonde one said with his chin in the sky, yet looked almost comically because he had to tilt his face up to see me.
"Welcome, I don't discriminate. I can heal you at once, for a small price of coarse"
He looked irritated, huffed and said, "You think I won't be able to pay! Name your Price!!"
Hehehehe~
"100 Gold Dragons" I smiled politely.
He hmphed and snapped his fingers, a minute later, two gaurds came over, each carrying a treasure box. They then opened them Infront of me, revealing the heaps of gold inside.
"This is for me and my brother, now hurry up, we haven't got all day!"
"Yes, yes right away" I said cheesily.
I stretched my left hand towards his head, only to stop when 4 spears suddenly stopped mere inches away from my throat.
Raising my arms, I explained "I need to touch their heads for my healing to work"
The gaurd who stood out from the rest, appearing to be their captian, sneered "Haa? What healing is that? I've never heard of such a thing, or are you going to perform magic? Khaahahahaha"
The rest of the gaurds laughed along with him. Now is a good time to show off my abilities with such a crowd formed.
I raised my right arm and activated CURE, deliberately making my hand glow brighter than usual. The laughing stopped as they looked at the scene Infront of them dumbfoundedly with open mouths big enough to suck a bodybuilder's cock.
Placing my hand on the blond haired man's head, the eye was healed and he appeared refreshed and rejuvenated as if he just woke up from a comfortable sleep.
I did the same with his brother and then deactivated the skill. The silence remained for a while as the crowd comprehended the scene that occurred before them.
Then similar to the scene from the show, they all extended their arms in my direction, touching my shoulder and chanting.
"Se Giēñatī"
Which means The Healer in Valyrian. I smiled, the plan worked, and I will reap the benefits.
Unbeknownst to me, the silent Blue haired young man would go back to report this to his father, the Magister. Which will set off a series of events that will make apparent the exact reason as to why Virsal wore a mask.
