Chapter 420: Two Reasons!
Two days later, in Horn City at the edge of the forest, a Skybird perches atop a ruined building. The sky was black, and a chorus of crickets filled the night as moonlight shimmered alongside the stars.
Inside the crumbling building, a group of battered young nobles huddled together on the dusty floor, their remaining knights close by. Fear was etched into their faces as they recalled the events that had brought them here.
They had been enjoying themselves, laughing and relaxing, when suddenly a group of unknown assailants draped in black robes stormed into their room. Within moments, dozens of their subordinates were killed, and they themselves were overwhelmed and beaten unconscious.
By the time they awoke, they found themselves in this desolate ruin.
They had no idea who these people were or why they were targeted, but one thing was certain.
'The attackers had a purpose for bringing them here.'
