As the last wisp of shadow vanished from the room, Zion turned his attention back to the letter he had received from Shin Gold.
It addressed a troubling matter concerning the merchant tower. For some unknown reason, several selected ships, whether their own or those of their business partners, had failed to return from their voyage.
Some of these voyage issues had been ongoing for quite some time. Initially, he suspected they were tied to the impending war or to pirates bribed by the Light Empire.
However, it now seemed improbable that the selected merchants had been deterred by any reason, especially when it came to profit, as they would do anything to ensure their transactions remained lucrative.
