Aldwin had the martial manuals and had been training for a few days when his birthday arrived, so he had to go to his parents' party they planned for him. The party was attended by merchants who often came to trade in the territory and wandering warriors, and all sorts of famous people. While his father Albert had already garnered the reputation of a formidable territory lord in battle against other territory lords in the north, his son also gained some reputation because he had become the youngest two-star knight on the continent so he had some fame of his own, especially in the north.
During the party, Aldwin was made to make a speech thanking all the people that came to celebrate his birthday. Aldwin also met a lot of his parent's friends ranging from wandering knights to merchants, famous alchemists, and all sorts of people attended the young master of Revigo's birthday celebration. Though this was a party for a ten-year-old it was also a place for people of such status to make connections with each other.
After the party was over Aldwin went to his father's chambers to talk and his father asked him what he wanted for his birthday.
"Aldwin it's your tenth birthday what would you like?" Albert said
Aldwin replied, "Father I've thought of this and there are two things I'd like, the first one being I want 30 knights for my use and some other people that I think are going to be useful to me."
"30 knights? Why do you plan on doing with that many? " Albert asked in confusion.
Aldwin: "Don't worry I don't need aura knights, I just need them to not be too old, to make my knight squad, and just let me pick them myself."
Albert: "alright I did say you can get anything as a gift, what's your second wish?"
Aldwin then said, "I know I'm not 15 yet, but I'd like to be at some meetings for the council."
"That's easy enough, I'll have it done," Albert said
"Thank you," Aldwin said
The reason Aldwin wanted to be on the council is that he wanted to input some modern 21st-century ideas on how to make the territory more profitable and better for its citizens, but he would have to wait until he was 15 to participate in the council and he did not want to wait that long, so he asked his dad for permission.
A couple of days later Aldwin's father put out a notice telling the young men in his territory that they need warriors and all sorts of different artisans and jobs. In the notice He said that they don't have to be aura users they just have to be fit and not too old, they would only be accepted if they are under 30.
One of the system's abilities is to see the potential of people and potential is rated from F being the lowest and S being the highest. Potential isn't always fully developed for example a random knight might have a potential of A but never had a good teacher to teach them and they face a roadblock along their path they may be stuck there forever and be at a lower aura level than their potential. There are ways for potential to be upgraded like a warrior can take mystical fruits or pills, or a mage can get a blessing from an elemental spirit or absorbed dragon heart. For example, the knight's commander potential as a warrior potential is C+ but his mage potential is F, but if he were to receive a blessing from a spirit, or some other way his mage potential would be increased.
After the notice was put out many people came to the recruitment site hoping to be selected.
When all the warriors came. They gathered and Aldwin took a look at all the warriors and selected anyone who had warrior potential of C and up. He also looked for people with an intelligence rating of B and up. This is because they could be used to learn the system's modern books about politics and science and other literature.
Most of the people who showed up had potential as D or F warriors, and 5 of them had C warrior potential. Over the next three weeks, Aldwin had gotten 23 C potential ratings, 7 B warrior potential ratings, and 1 A intelligence and 4 B rated intelligence ratings from all of the people who showed up during the three weeks. Aldwin plans on having the warriors trained and the A-rated intelligence and B-rated will be given books from the system to learn.
Just like that 5 years had passed by.
Over these five years, Aldwin reached the fifth stage in the Divine Art of Heavenly Demon and the fourth stage in The Celestial Sky Divine Art. By Murim's standards, he'd be a peak martial master, while on the Kedsi continent, he'd be a peak 4-star knight infinitely close to the 5 star knight rank.
During those years Aldwin attended a lot of council meetings. He suggested many things, such as building public bathrooms and public baths, modern farming practices, and having children centers built where children without homes can stay. These centers would also teach the children around reading, writing, and arithmetic.
To fund all of these projects, along with the help of the system, he made liquid soap, body lotions, and perfume to sell to the nobles and commoners all around the continent using the territory's merchant connections. He specifically chose perfume and body lotion because they would be easiest to sell to nobles who wanted to keep their noble appearance all the time. Liquid soap was later developed as a way to keep the commoners clean and healthy so they would not contract diseases and thus increase the life expectancy of his citizens.
It can be said that during the five years the Revigo experienced its best years, having made profits up to 10,000-25,000 gold Keds per year, the military went from 7000 to 12 thousand men.
However, all the success that they were having roused the surrounding territories' envy.
