Saturday morning.
Shen Xin, as usual, got up a few seconds before six o'clock, washed up, slung her drawing board on her back, hung a sports camera around her collar, and rode her mountain bike to the small park in the center of the street.
But by 8:30, she still hadn't seen that little girl.
"Today is the weekend. That female white-collar worker probably doesn't have to work, so she has company and doesn't need to come out to play alone?"
Shen Xin sat on the curb for a while longer, making sure that the little girl would not be coming today, then got up and patted the dust off her buttocks.
She planned to continue her tour around the city but felt something was missing, so she rode her mountain bike and started wandering around the residential area near the park.
Shen Xin didn't deliberately ask the elderly women doing morning exercises for information; she believed that chance encounters were the most beautiful.
