He was still inside Saeldir's chamber. After Erend added a few more pieces of information into the printed tablet, the laptop had already shut down, and its screen was now dark. Erend simply stared at it, seeing his reflection on the now-black monitor.
His mind was made up, and he had gathered enough data from the laptop — enough to give to the Elves.
Although it might not seem like much, what was here was already substantial. The information he obtained might not be as extensive as they had hoped, even though he got it from an advanced device straight from Laston's world. But here, there were plenty of remnants of Laston's army that could be reverse-engineered for their own gain.
He didn't need to give them more than that — or else danger would come.
Carrying the laptop, Erend opened another portal to go to Laston's world. He stepped inside and immediately returned to the chamber where the engineers were working.
