ARIANNE POV
The whole court members all turned to look at me and I could see the fear on their faces. In fact, I relished in it. Their eyes widened as they took in my appearance—the bloodied dress, the unsheathed sword in my hand, the fire still burning in my eyes.
I strode to the center of the room, standing tall and unyielding as I stared at them. Dahlia glanced at me with a look of disapproval on her face at my bloodied dress but even then she still wore a proud smile on her face.
I stopped at the center of the room, I brought the sword forward, holding it upright. Its polished steel glinted in the light of the grand chandelier above, marred only by the streaks of Azar's blood. Slowly, I let my gaze sweep the room, pausing just long enough to let each council member squirm under my scrutiny.
