Chapter 5 - Both the Earth Elemental Sprite and the Misty Woods have been completed simultaneously!

Harvesting was much faster than planting—

especially with the help of storage space.

In just half a day, all the treeberries and strawberries Lin Feng had planted on the first day were completely harvested. Not only had the treeberries reached the quality standard of Grade C, but the strawberries had also reached Grade C!

Both crops had been optimized by the system.

The harvest was quite impressive—more than a hundred pounds of produce from the first day alone.

Lin Feng set aside a small portion of the seeds, and stored the rest in the spatial storage.

The crops planted on the second day wouldn't be ready until the next day, so Lin Feng decided to check in on Mengmeng and Bai Ling.

They were making good progress. In just half a day, they had already planted several hundred meters' worth of mist trees.

Mengmeng spread the seeds rapidly, while Bai Ling followed behind, pressing them into the soil. At the same time, a stream of water flowed behind Bai Ling, extending from a nearby lake. Wherever she walked, the water followed. After the seeds were pressed into the soil, the water automatically flowed to the seeds and watered them.

It was as if she had her own built-in irrigation system, able to precisely control the water flow.

That's why Bai Ling and Mengmeng were able to work so efficiently.

The floating island had a perimeter of nearly four kilometers. At around 15 mist trees per row, at their current pace, they could finish planting all the mist trees in four to five days.

"I'll go help too!" Lan Sha said, joining in.

Meanwhile, Lin Feng opened his island master's wristband and accessed the newcomer forum. Within the forum was a trade section.

There weren't many posts in the trade module—newcomers rarely posted casually here.

At this stage, very few new island owners had goods worth selling.

Lin Feng posted an ad:

> "For sale: Over 100 pounds of Grade C treeberries and Grade C strawberries. Excellent quality. Price negotiable!"

Soon after the listing went up, responses started rolling in—and so did friend requests.

> "No way! This is only the 11th day, and you've already harvested?"

> "Don't even ask, he's obviously from a rich family. Who else could get their hands on Grade C seeds?"

> "Even with C-grade seeds, the growth speed shouldn't be this fast. He probably hired someone with special abilities to manage the farm."

> "So jealous!"

> "Hello, we're from Shen BioTech. Interested in purchasing your treeberries and strawberries. Please accept our request."

The replies kept coming, and friend requests piled up.

Lin Feng skimmed through them. Many were from individual users, but some clearly belonged to acquisition companies—easily recognizable by their names.

The island master's forum allowed users to show nicknames, but accounts were still real-name verified. Acquisition companies also had official certification—many were actually started by experienced floating island farm owners themselves.

Lin Feng casually accepted a few requests from acquisition companies and began negotiating prices.

These companies were eager to establish long-term cooperation with him. Anyone with access to Grade C seeds and crops that grew this fast was either from a wealthy family or part of a major faction. He had a high chance of becoming an official floating island owner, and being an early partner would be extremely profitable.

After all, even treeberries and strawberries at Grade C were rarely available in the market.

Eventually, Lin Feng settled on a deal with Shen BioTech.

They arranged a time for the pickup. After Lin Feng provided his island's coordinates and granted access, Shen BioTech would send someone to collect the goods.

Though an ordinary person would lose two days of life each time they entered or exited a floating island world, companies like Shen BioTech had workarounds. For example, when an island's level increased, it could have one or two vice owners who didn't suffer the life deduction—these staff often handled logistics.

Lin Feng didn't need to worry about any of that.

He didn't want the buyer to see too much of his island, so he planned to have the arrival point inside his treehouse. That way, they could leave right after the pickup.

He also asked Shen BioTech to bring 100 kg of plant seeds with them—he'd already used up the ones he brought with him. While he could replant from the current harvest, he still had over 1,000 acres of land to make use of.

This time, he requested only Grade D seeds.

After finalizing the deal, Lin Feng waited in his treehouse.

Before long, his island master wristband received a request to enter.

He approved it and set the entry point to the treehouse.

A moment later, a woman in a fitted skirt walked in, pulling a cart with a large bag.

She looked elegant and composed.

A big company like Shen BioTech sent someone like this?

"You must be Lin Feng?" she asked.

Lin Feng nodded. "That's me."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Shen Mengxue, from Shen BioTech."

"Hello. The harvest is right here," Lin Feng said.

He had already sorted the treeberries and strawberries into separate bags to avoid squishing.

"I'll need to do some tests," Shen Mengxue said, pulling out an inspection device.

Lin Feng nodded his approval.

Half an hour later, Shen Mengxue smiled in satisfaction. "Among Grade C crops, this is top-tier quality. Let's proceed with the price we discussed."

"Sounds good," Lin Feng replied, without hesitation.

And just like that, the first transaction was completed successfully.

Shen Mengxue was clearly curious about the island, but couldn't see much from inside the treehouse.

After finishing the purchase, she left with the goods. Once the cost of the seeds was deducted, Lin Feng ended up with over 200,000 credits!

More than 100 pounds, sold for over 200K!

If they had been Grade D crops, the value would've been less than half.

Not a bad first haul.

"I'll ask Leisha and the others if they want any weapons or gear—I can buy some for them," Lin Feng thought.

As he opened his wristband again, he noticed a private message.

It was from an old classmate.

> "Wow, Lin Feng! I didn't realize it was you. I just added the seller and saw your name—how did you manage to sell fruits this early?"

Lin Feng checked the class group chat—people were talking about it there too.

> "No way... the guy selling Grade C fruits is our Lin Feng?"

> "I just added him. It really is!"

> "Didn't he turn down investment offers? Where'd he get Grade C seeds?"

A lot of his former classmates were stunned.

By now, the newcomer forums and a few chat groups were buzzing with talk about the incident.

Harvesting a batch of C-grade plant fruits on just the 11th day was more than enough to grab the attention of other floating island rookies.

Although treeberries and strawberries didn't contain a high amount of life energy, achieving such a result was still out of reach for the average person.

Most people assumed Lin Feng had to be the heir of some wealthy family or a powerful clan.

In Lin Feng's old class group chat, one of his former classmates—curious—tried to add him as a friend. Only then did he realize he had already added Lin Feng long ago. When he sent a message, he was surprised to find it was Lin Feng.

Unlike others, his classmates knew Lin Feng's background.

A genius orphan, once a legend at school. He had even been offered a nine-figure investment from a major financial group—but turned it down, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that countless people could only dream of.

At the time, many classmates had felt sorry for him. Some may have even secretly waited for him to fail.

Yet, here he was, already selling C-grade fruits.

The class group instantly became lively.

Some speculated Lin Feng must have gotten support from another major group. Others believed he had been hiding his true strength all along.

Seeing himself become the center of discussion, Lin Feng just glanced at the chat and didn't say a word.

Let them guess all they want.

He turned his attention back to reality and stepped out of the treehouse.

Mengmeng and the others were still planting the mist trees, so Lin Feng joined them.

With four people working, their efficiency improved even more.

They stayed busy until late afternoon.

That evening, out on the little terrace outside the treehouse, Lin Feng told the girls some stories and taught them a few new words. Then he returned to the treehouse for the night.

Before heading to bed, he also asked Mengmeng to build a new treehouse the next day—one specifically for trading purposes.

The next morning, Lin Feng harvested more crops. By the time he was done, Mengmeng had already completed the new trade treehouse.

Around noon, Lin Feng contacted Shen Mengxue. Just a few minutes later, she appeared inside the new treehouse, once again pushing a cart.

That day's harvest was about the same as the day before, and the sale brought in a similar amount of money.

On the third day, the harvest was even better. With Mengmeng's help, they had planted a larger area, and this time, potatoes and cabbages had ripened as well.

Shen Mengxue took everything.

And after three days of work—with help from Lin Feng and Leisha—all the mist tree seeds had been planted!

These mist trees, like the Life Tree, benefited from growth boosts and were growing incredibly fast.

The earliest planted ones had already grown over two meters tall in just three days.

The rest were rapidly catching up.

At this rate, the mist forest would be fully formed in no time.

> Farm Plant: Mist Tree

Type: Defense

Level: 2

Growth Points: 50 (50/day)

Skill: Mist Generation

As Lin Feng looked at each mist tree, a simple info panel would appear for each of them.

Once the planting was complete, a green ring formed around the outer edge of the floating island.

The entire mist forest wrapped around the island, nearly four kilometers in total length and about 50 meters wide.

On average, a tree stood every three meters or so.

Once the forest matured, it would begin generating mist. The mist wouldn't go beyond the forest boundaries. Anyone who entered would become disoriented, wandering in circles like they were trapped in a maze, unable to find a way out—or they might end up walking right back the way they came.

"Done!" Lin Feng clapped his hands, pleased as he looked at the fast-growing mist trees.

His gaze shifted to Bai Ling and the other two elemental spirits.

It was thanks to these three little helpers that they managed to finish planting the mist forest so quickly!

> "Earth Elemental Spirit has been successfully nurtured."

At that moment, a system notification rang out.

The Earth Elemental Spirit had finished incubating!

"Mengmeng, Bai Ling, Leisha—come on, let's go," Lin Feng called out.

He led the three girls toward the Life Tree.
