Ezra's eyes found Scarlett instantly.
Elaine and Layla were by her side, but Scarlett looked limp, her head bobbing slightly, murmuring weakly. Seeing her like that… helpless… hit Ezra like a gut punch.
Without hesitation, he crossed the deck in long, furious strides.
Elaine turned and saw him, relief flashing across her face.
Ezra reached them, knelt down swiftly, and gathered Scarlett into his arms. She whimpered softly against his chest, her body too warm, too slack.
He gritted his teeth, fighting back the wave of rage threatening to explode.
"I've got you," he whispered against her hair, his voice a low growl. "I'm here."
Lifting her as if she weighed nothing, Ezra stood, his cold glare sweeping across the stunned crowd. No one dared to stop him… not even Carly, who cowered at the sight of him.
"Henry!" Ezra barked.
Henry was already there, clearing a path back to the side of the yacht where the speedboat waited below.
