After a bath, just as Emma had lain down on the bed, the door was pushed open. She sat up in shock, but upon seeing the tall figure that entered, she smiled.
"Walter, it's past ten already, why aren't you asleep?" she eyed the man approaching step by step, clutching the blanket to her chest with both hands.
Walter, with a lopsided smile and his dark eyes profound, said nothing as he walked to the bedside in his black dress shirt and trousers. Then, he pulled away her blanket, bent down to pick her up, and turned to walk out of the room.
