When Hill emerged from the World Membrane, he saw a row of Legendary Laws standing with their backs to him.
They were poised to block the escape route of the Furnace Artifact, lest the Dwarves fail to break through the Gods' obstruction and turn back into the world.
As soon as Hill showed his face, the dozen or so legends turned around with smiles, then cast a glance at Fran who stood to one side.
Fran, with a cold expression, stared at Hill who had rushed up to provoke trouble, and unusually, grabbed his collar and pulled him to the side.
Hill obediently followed Fran and stood to the left of the Legendary Mages.
As the most recent among the Legendary Laws, he indeed was the youngest present, although not necessarily the weakest, but for the most part, Hill was outmatched.
Hill stood quietly, mouth shut, not uttering a word.
This was not the time for talk, the battle ahead was fierce!
What if he said the wrong thing and Fran really sent him back?
