Early this morning, as Anning was having breakfast at home, a letter from Paris was delivered.
The letter was still written by Marat, Anning immediately opened it at the dining table, only to find that besides news of Lafayette mobilizing troops, it lacked any specific details.
Anning muttered, "Some useful information for once, as expected we can't rely on amateurs, we need to turn to professional intelligence agents."
As soon as she finished speaking, Vanni entered the dining room and said, "The officers have arrived."
Anning: "Let them in then, if they haven't eaten, they can join us for breakfast."
Vanni bowed slightly, then turned and left.
After a moment, the officers entered the dining hall, with Lazar Kano speaking first, "According to intelligence from Paris, the enemy forces are about 40,000 strong, with around 3,000 cavalry and over 80 cannons, heading towards Conte."
