"Emma!"
I groaned against the floor, that was a hard fall and all the pressure went to my left elbow, I think I greased it. I forced my body to sit and I rubbed it.
"Hey that's not fair" I heard Carly.
"What? You stand with her?" Sophie snapped at her.
"She was human before… she didn't know about our ways so you can't blame her"
I heard her huff. "Don't think you can walk away Adams… everyone here knows about your fling with a werelion… even they don't talk about it but I will"
"That's enough Sophie!" Owen barked approaching her. "Really?"
"Don't tell me you're taking her side"
"She's under the Head family protection, don't you ever do this again" I heard his footsteps approach me and he helped me up. "You okay?" he asked, checking me for injury.
"Why would the head family care any less about her?"
Owen shifted his angry eyes to her. "Emma is one of us… let that stick in your head" he faces the rest. "All you!" his grip on my arms tightened as he led me away.
