The moment we made eye contact I think my blood ran cold, the look she gave me wasn't exactly satisfying or hateful either, I could not explain it but it made me more anxious as I took aching steps towards her, maybe this was a bad idea.
But the hot whelming eagerness to ask about Dace overridden my brain to stay away, I couldn't stop my body now, because I was moving with that, there was no going back down. I opened my mouth to say something.
"Emma, there you are'' Henry wrapped his arm around my neck pulling me to him, that was when we broke eye contact. "So prom..." he began and I looked behind me, only to find out that Emilia was gone, great just great.
"Whatcha looking at?"
"N-Nothing"
He raised an eyebrow. "You sure?"
"Yeah, we should get going, Exams will start soon"
"Yeah yeah sure and after that let's talk about prom, your first prom ever in Juneau High" he seemed overly enthusiastic now, but I didn't match the level of his excitement.
