In the end, that didn't happen.
"It's empty."
That was the response that came from the first raid team to breach one of the labs.
The breach was reported back as soon as it happened, but then there was this other report that stated that the lab was empty.
"What do you mean by empty?" Lin Fan grabbed the talisman and spoke to the team himself when he heard this.
However, there was nothing that the team could say.
They explained that they had already gone through the entire lab several times now and that they hadn't found a single person there. There were a few things that were left scattered around the lab and there were even spirit beasts that were released inside of the lab.
But the important things were all gone.
It was clear that whatever had been here before had cleared out everything before they arrived. They made sure that there wouldn't be a single thing left behind for them with how thoroughly they had moved everything.
