It's not a question of how to choose; there's no choice at all.
As a safety expert, Hilter has seen a lot of the world. The people he protects are all either rich or noble, certainly not ordinary folks. He's no stranger to grand scenes.
But as much as he's used to grand scenes, it's these small ones that get to him—someone standing right in front of Hunter, blatantly threatening him, shamelessly bribing with no bottom line—these make Hilter feel utterly powerless.

He's seen many important figures, but none like Hunter, not even close.
Before now, Hilter protected elites, intelligent people. Even if they were up to something, they wouldn't let Hilter know, nor did they need or expect his protection.
