The rest of the day was not as it should have been. Instead of being happy and excited in the presence of her mother, she felt something in her chest. It may have resembled dread and it could have been because it was about to come in the future.
"What do you think? Leah?" Emily called. "Are you okay?"
She felt a pinch to her side. "What? What do you like?"
"Both actually." Emily pulled the dresses to her sides. "Which one, blue or red?"
"I think you should go for the red. It would bring out your green eyes. But I do think blue will suit you either. Would you mind changing into them? I think it would be easy to choose then."
Emily looked at the dresses, considering Lucy's suggestion. "Yeah, I can do that. Also, I will select a few more and then I'll change all of them."
Giving them a parting smile, Emily left to wander around the store.
"Okay," Lucy turned towards Leah and shuffled closer, "tell me what happened."
"What?"
