"You were in a desert? By yourself?" The question came from Captain Alpha who had just arrived at the shop.
He was covered in bandages from head to toe. It seemed as if his entire body was covered in cuts and burns. His eyes seemed tired as if he had not slept for a few days now. And he seemed the most worn out right now.
And yet, he had the brightest smile among all of them as he sat there, drinking his delicious cup of coffee.
"I was, though not by myself. I had the companionship of my familiar and perhaps They are the only reason I was able to get back. Oh, did I mention we fought a Desert worm?" Hide said it so casually it seemed like he was talking about some everyday creature.
But as soon as she heard it, she almost spit the coffee in her mouth with a stunned expression.
