Due to how effectively Lex was multitasking, he had one of the most productive times he'd ever had inside the Inn. In fact, he realized that he should have been doing this from the start.
Splitting his mind and carrying out a dozen different tasks using projections or weak clones basically caused him no strain, but what he achieved was significant. As the Innkeeper, he was constantly having meetings one on one with many workers.
Many of them had been with the Inn from the start, and meeting them again allowed him to refresh their awe of the Innkeeper. But even more of them had never actually met the Innkeeper. With hundreds of thousands of workers at the Inn, managing the millions of guests, it was obviously impossible to have a relationship with all of them in a short period of time.
