I don't remember closing my eyes.
When did I fall asleep? Why did I have such strange dreams? They made no sense, but I wanted to go back to sleep. The dreams are a life I would choose a million times over the one I have, but it's not like any of that's possible. Dreams are just that; dreams.
Sliding off the couch, I glance around the room. The smell of bleach hits me, making my chest hurt. It can't be good for us to be around so many chemicals, especially for babies. She's asleep in her bassinet, unaware that the world isn't fair to us. Yet, there's nothing I can do to change it. At least, I think there's not.
