Hearst fell silent because he didn't expect this, the huge dragon had disappeared, only to reappear behind Dritter in less than a second - "Teleportation..."
"C-Cloud..." - Tio said as she looked at the dragon that was even bigger than her.
Cloud gave her a glance before nodding his head and returning to his original spot.
Tio was silent, as he tried to analyse the drastic change in the situation. She was about to unleash all her latent power in a single attack while waiting for the right moment. She was mentally prepared to withstand her opponent's attacks, and even be seriously injured, but what she didn't think would happen was that Cloud would appear in the middle of the battle and devour her opponent in one bite.
Cloud glared at the apostles as his corrosive spittle flew out of his mouth.
"How is it possible that your power is slightly increased by devouring Dritter?" - Hearst asked as he scowled at the creature.
Cloud didn't answer, he just looked at the apostles as if they were his prey as he thought of how to speed up his plans. He again disappeared from the scene, only to be followed after a few seconds by the sound of something being crushed.
Hearst looked back and noticed how Cloud had not only killed another of his companions, but was chewing on a third. It was at that moment, she realised that her mission had failed, however, that wasn't the biggest problem, but rather that her sacrifice was going to be in vain.
"K-Formation!" - Hearst exclaimed as he saw that the situation was getting worse with every minute, though he also noticed something else, and that was that Cloud seemed to need some channeling time in order to appear where another prey.
The apostles flew to an ally and began to recite an incantation.
Cloud felt his tail quiver slightly, as well as a bad feeling, so he didn't jump on another prey, he watched carefully.
Hearst gritted his teeth because it was obvious that his opponent had sensed something odd and that's why he had stopped, though that didn't matter because he could still use this strategy with a much better target - "Attack the primary targets!"
The apostles quickly turned around and flew in the direction of the submarine.
Cloud let out a roar before disappearing and reappearing in front of the Apostles.
"Now!" - Hearst exclaimed as he began to recite an incantation.
"[Holy Explosion]!" - [Yue, activate the barrier!" the Apostles recited as their bodies glowed.
[Yue, activate the barrier!" roared Cloud as he began to release all of his internal mana to create a magical explosion.
Yue quickly created a barrier, an action that Kaori, Lyutillis and Meiru repeated.
Cloud gritted his teeth before bracing himself for the impact, which was not long in coming.
The sound of hundreds of explosions echoed through the place as Hearst continued to recite his incantation because he knew that although the kamikaze attack of his companions might hurt the irregular, it still wasn't enough to kill it.
"[Holy Decree: Extermination]!" - Hearst exclaimed as she channeled all the divine power her system could withstand into a single attack.
The smokescreen blocking Cloud's body opened up at the powerful divine attack, creating another explosion.
"That ought to be more than enough..." - Hearst muttered while breathing heavily because that last attack had overloaded his magic net - "No living being could resist the concentrated power of Ehit-sama's attack."
Yes, that attack was sent by her, but the person who launched it through her body was none other than Ehit. He had used his influence on Hearst's body in order to attack, so basically that was a direct attack from the mad god in order to eliminate the irregular once and for all, since with him gone, there would be no one who could stand in his way, not even the women following him, and if in order to achieve this goal he had to sacrifice all his forces, then it was a good deal.
"Ok... that hurt like hell..." - Said a hoarse voice, but one that you could tell was exhausted.
"IMPOSSIBLE!" - Hearst exclaimed, and for the first time in his entire existence losing his composure.
The smokescreen slowly disappeared, revealing a blond young man with his body covered in wounds. His clothes had been almost completely destroyed, leaving only a bit of his trousers covering his crotch, one of his eyes was closed by blood running down his forehead, however, the strangest thing was that something seemed to be falling from his body, some kind of black crystals, although if one looked closer, one could notice that these were not stones or some kind of mineral, but rather fragments of scales.
Yes, Cloud had managed to resist that last attack with a mixture of abilities, he first absorbed the most divine energy from the attack, then used the maximum defensive ability that [Yggdrasil's Protection] had, and even with all that, he still took damage, proving that Ehit had used all of his power in that attack.
"Impossible..." - Hearst muttered as his voice began to distort - [How did you manage to survive my attack, irregular! Tell me!]
Cloud didn't respond, he simply stood still as he checked the state of his body. It was obvious that Ehit was desperate for results, which was why he had used an attack that would bring him multiple consequences.
"Hearst" let out a roar of fury as his body turned to dust - [This isn't over... irregular.... I don't know how you managed to discover my intentions... but next time you won't be so lucky...]
