Two days had passed.
The pig farm in Shankou Village was now up and running, and the village was bustling with activity. Virtually the entire village had mobilized—those who could do manual labor pitched in, while those who couldn't took on tasks like running errands and delivering meals.
The construction site was buzzing with energy, but Ling Feng was preoccupied with the thought that Hu Tiesheng had been suspiciously quiet.
Logically speaking, after having his plans thwarted, that guy should at least have shown some signs of frustration, if not exploded in anger. Yet, for the past two days, it had been eerily calm.
Ling Feng didn't believe that Hu Tiesheng had just admitted defeat and gone into hiding. He was certain the man was plotting some big move behind the scenes.
The only question was what that move might be.
Nearing noon, Ling Feng's phone rang.
