Yigol Foster had carved out his own empire, not particularly versed in the feuds between powerful families. However, having been involved with these families over the years, he had witnessed plenty and learned about their various grudges and disputes.
But he had never wanted such things to happen to Lucas. Reaching out his hand to wipe the salad from the corner of her mouth, he said, "Do you hate your father?"
With a grin, Lucas said, "Not really. After all these years, I can't say I feel respect or love for him, but at the same time, I can't say I hate him either."
"Is your grandfather still alive? Is anyone from that side still around?"
Lucas shook her head, "Ever since my father's scheming led to its downfall, Willow Manor has never recovered. My grandfather passed away in frustration. Willow Manor collapsed, the house fell, and everyone scattered."
"Didn't your mother know what your father was up to?"
