The problem of energy water bothered him many times in the future. Many times in the future, he was frustrated by being unable to get more energy water.
He remembers one event in his future when he teamed up with some godclads to seize control of a town. Their attempt didn't end well. He and many other godclads were killed in the fight.
He chuckled and said, "Even if we had won, the lamp bearers wouldn't have let us go. The best we could do was steal some energy water and escape with what we could get. It simply wasn't worth it to die like that."
The frustration of the future is bleeding into the past to make him frustrated. But it is only a shallow frustration because his current situation is different from his future.
Unlike his future selves, he has other solutions other than taking over a human settlement or braving the dangers of the wilds and fighting a beast for control of the spirit spring while surrounded by other beasts.
