Chapter 58 - Morning

Kyn awoke from his celestial plane dream, his mind flooded with the night's vivid and surreal experiences. His first thought was to search for Mot, the dragon-turned-snake who had been his strange companion in the dream. To his relief, he noticed Mot, who appeared to be sound asleep beside his pillow.

Kyn could not help but sigh, wondering if it had all been a bizarre nightmare. But just as he was settling into a sense of normalcy, Mot jerked awake, turned to face him, and said, "Morning, partner."

Kyn's eyes widened with surprise, "F***!!! You're real. ... everything is real."

Mot, revelling in the shift in power dynamics and his newfound status as Kyn's odd companion, decided to have some fun. He turned to Kyn with a sly grin on his face and said, in an overly formal tone, "Master, I trust you had a pleasant rest?"

Kyn, still trying to make sense of the bizarre turn of events, nodded and said, "I suppose so, Mot. Could you please explain what is not happening?

The dragon-snake's wicked grin revealed his true intentions immediately. "Well, my dear master," Mot said, "as your loyal companion, I believe it is only fair to clarify our agreement first. I have a small favour to ask of you... if you want me to go easy on you during our next training session."

Kyn cocked a brow, 'Such luck, turns out the gods want me dead.' He became both curious and wary. As in, "Mot, what do you want?"

As soon as Mot realised he had the opportunity, he leaned in and whispered, "I would like a 3-kilogram plate of roasted beef with chips on the side for lunch, and for dessert, some delicious strawberry ice cream, 'please'."

Kyn could not contain his laughter at the absurdity of the situation, "So you are blackmailing me for a plate of beef and ice cream?"

Mot responded, "Indeed, dear master," with mock seriousness. A dragon's got to eat, after all. In exchange, during our training sessions, I will refrain from using my full strength. So, what do you think?"

The dragon's sassy demands made Kyn chuckle. "It looks like a deal to me. However, I want you to know that I won't hold back on you; you can take a punch."

"Deal?"

"Deal," Kyn answered, securing the truce.

As Kyn left the room to take a much-needed shower after making the comical food deal with Mot, Mot was left alone to reflect on the recent turn of events. With a sense of curiosity and longing, he decided to contact Nyx, the person who had summoned him into this strange situation.

Mot attempted to establish a connection with Nyx as he had done previously, but to his surprise and dismay, the link had been severed. It felt like someone had closed a door, cutting him off from the person who had introduced him to this confusing world.

Accepting the reality of his current predicament, Mot couldn't help but sigh. He realised that he was, for now, bound to his unusual partnership with Kyn and the whims of the enigmatic Khaos entity.

Kyn had just finished getting ready for the day when the knock on his door rang. Because he had slept in for a longer period of time than is typical for him, Jasmine had come to investigate, as she was curious about his current unusual behaviour. She was curious as to what was holding him up and thought maybe she could ask Mot, the odd snake, some questions.

However, when she laid eyes on Kyn, who had just emerged from the walking closet in a stylish black Turkish suit, all her thoughts seemed to fade away. She was momentarily at a loss for words upon beholding him in the sharp suit. It was impossible to deny the impact that Kyn's appearance had on her; she was both impressed and intimidated by him.

Jasmine was instantly smitten by Kyn, and not just because of his dashing good looks. She felt a surge of love for him that she could not explain. As it turned out, she had a case of "new-couple syndrome", in which the excitement of a new romantic relationship leads to irrational levels of adoration and infatuation.

Mot, the ever-vigilant snake, gave Kyn and Jasmine a knowing glance as they smiled and shared a moment together.

"The two of you are pretty much fucked," said Mot.

Gaia, on the other hand, just ignored the snake and looked at Kyn.

"Seems like you found out our little pet's secret identity," she smirked while walking up to Kyn's side and licking her lips.

'She definitely wants it; come on, give me a break,' Kyn thought to himself.

'Since you already know what I want,' Jasmine replied to his thoughts, 'How about I get rid out him.' She said while turning to look at the snake.

Unbeknownst to the snake, Mot chose this fine moment to interrupt the vixen's thoughts: "Hey, If you two lovebirds are done ogling at each other, I'd like to eat some beef."

Taking it in stride, Kyn couldn't help but feel relieved, taking Mot's side. "Yup, Gaia, as much as I'd love to..." he said, scratching his head, "Man, we're starving."

"Hmph!" came Gaia's.

The trio, Kyn, Gaia, and the peculiar snake, exited the room together and made their way to the dining hall. It was an impressive sight, with a lavish buffet spread out before them, offering a delectable array of breakfast options.

Gaia, appearing somewhat disappointed that Kyn wasn't up for a playful morning, took the lead in selecting her breakfast. She opted for a modest and healthy portion, making thoughtful choices from the offerings on display.

Kyn, on the other hand, seemed to share Mot's enthusiasm for a hearty breakfast. He piled his plate with a substantial mound of sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, and even some ribs. His selection was far from modest, matching Mot's own hearty appetite.

Speaking of Mot, the snake, unable to use legs or feet, employed its telekinesis skill to his advantage. He deftly picked out almost all the meat-packed delicacies and floated them over to his designated spot. As a result, Mot's plate was, quite humorously, the largest of them all, creating an amusing picture with his massive mound of food floating beside him.

The three of them, each with their unique breakfast choices, created a comical scene as they settled down to enjoy their morning meal.
