Published on the largest web novel platform filled with cliches, dog-blood dramas, and stallion novels, the basic plot of "After Rebirth, I Became the Richest Man" centered around a man by the name of Ren Hongcai. It had been said that wishing for a great and prosperous future for their son, his parents chose the name Hongcai, meaning great wealth and fortune.
Unfortunately, when Ren Hongcai was merely 1 year old, tragedy struck and his parents were killed in a car accident, to move along the story. They had lived in a small village near the outposts, where identification was practically nonexistent and all kinds of under the scenes business occurred. Shortly after, Ren Hongcai was sent to an orphanage, where he lived for the next 17 years, gaining his second family. When the orphanage had gone into debt, Hongcai worked in a bar, where he learned about the truth behind his parent's debt from a pair of policemen. It had turned out that his parents had fled from the city to avoid being targeted during the battle for inheritance in his mother's family, but his mother's sister, Ye Lin, was determined to not let any potential threats free, ordering for them to be killed. The killers were a few measly gangsters, allowing tracks to be left behind, resulting in the police reinvestigating the case, but no action could be taken because of the power of the Ye Family.
Swearing to take revenge, Ren Hongcai began the climb to the top, becoming the new darkhorse in the entertainment, conquering beauties left and right. 10 minutes before, he had asked an auntie at a nearby food stall who and where the biggest business tycoon was, and once he obtained the name "Crosson Entertainment," he promptly hailed a taxi, intending to head there at once.
"Young man, are you trying your luck at being a celebrity?" The driver was a friendly old man with an amiable smile, sporting gray hair with dotted strands of white. "My granddaughter always watches those idols on the TV" he said, shaking his head, "always forgetting about his elders." He glanced back at Ye Chengyue through the rearview mirror. "This grandpa hopes that an upright youngster like you wont forget about your family after getting involved with all of that showbiz."
Ye Chengyue laughed. "Don't worry Grandpa, I'm not going there to become an idol." He rested his chin on the heel of his hand and glanced through the window at the passing scenery. "I'm just trying to do one good thing that I have wanted to do for a long time."
[Ye Chengyue: Which is to create as much chaos as I can and fuck up as many lives as I can before I die.]
[System 06: ....]
The taxi began to slow down and Ye Chengyue could see a tall, skyscraper-like building appear around the corner. The entire building seemed to be made up of glass, the midday sun reflecting almost painful rays off of the 4 walls. The employee's parking lot alone was the size of 4 football fields, resulting in Ye Chengyue having to wait a few minutes before the taxi reached the main entrance. The entrance seemed just as pretentious as the rest of the building, having a large metal archway with the Crosson logo settled in the middle, a large ornamental water fountain, and even a porte cochère. There were already many security guards scattered around the borders of the company that Ye Chengyue had seen when they arrived, but their numbers were comparable to a small unit, as the numbers located around the company building could be comparable to an entire army.
[Ye Chengyue: It seems as if I have encountered a problem.]
[System 06: If I may be of any assistance to my oh-so-gracious and non-problematic host.]
Before Ye Chengyue could respond, four of the security guards by the entrance walked over to the taxi, one to the driver's side and the rest to Ye Chengyue's door.

One of the security guards opened the taxi door, "Young Master," and the other two stood at attention, waiting for Ye Chengyue to exit.

She looked up at him, sleek black hair pulled into a bun with almond shaped eyes, and instantly recognized him. "Young Master, do you need the elevator pass?"
He nodded and accepted the key, turning on his heel to the private elevator, clicking the highest floor, the 100th. The elevator was also made of glass, allowing him to look into the floors as he passed them.
[Ye Chengyue: I swear to god, I think I saw a tennis court. And a swimming pool. These people are fucking loaded. My middle-wage heart hurts from all of this grandeur.]
[System 06: As of right now, you are considered 'these people.' And do be careful, the host does have arrhythmia.]
[Ye Chengyue: ..Eh? Baby don't drop a bomb that size on me so abruptly like that in the future.]
[System 06: I do apologize, I was under the impression that you were going to die in a few minutes, if I remember correctly.]
[Ye Chengyue: Fuck you.]
'Ding' The elevator doors opened to the rooftop. Ye Chengyue walked to the edge of the building and peered down.
[System 06: Dear host, I would not advise you to perform these actions. Your attempts will be fruitless.]
"Xiao Liu baby, don't disrupt Daddy's work. Daddy is trying to pull down big boy multinational level corporations."
He stood up on the ledge that served as a border between life and a splat on the ground, ignoring the way his stomach lurched at the height.
"Well this is to my 37 extra minutes of life. To Ren Hongcai, I hope you suffer and may your attempts to get revenge fail. To my dear aunt Ye Lin who I've never met, I hope your company goes up in flames after the death of your precious nephew. To Hongcai's parents, sucks to be-"
[System 06: Stop your monologue and just jump already.]
"Your words hurt me darling, they really do..."
He closed his eyes and fell backwards.
Only to jolt up, laying in a large bed tangled up in silk sheets, just like how he arrived when he transmigrated to the world.
